This is a wild story. I did not expect it to go where it did at all— the stakes for just first year alone are intense. Some spelling issues here and there, not enough to take you out of the story.
The characters are amazing. Never seen anyone with these takes, especially Cornelius Fudge. The story is beautifully done, small things leading to big ones in the most satisfying of ways.
The elements of the different stories coming together bleed in like dye, and mix perfectly. Each plot line, each character pov, even the little details, all feel well set. They lead to the big payoffs outta no where!
I love the way you’re building out the magic, and expanding on the history and world building. Every added element and bits of lore pull together like they were woven from the same cloth.
Very few works do this much character development. The cast truly grow into new people in some instances, all in ways that still feel true to the original characters and the experiences in this story.
My only regret is finding this story before it’s completed, and now having to wait for the next drop of gold to fall. Well done, I am hooked!

The character building is well developed, all of the original cast feel like they have so much more flavour, and the sub plots are fantastic adding another level of depth. I would love to into more detail but that would be spoilers, so i'll guess you just have to read it yourself!

I will say first that this is a solid effort at writing. Decent grammar and dialogue, characters have some depth, plot is fairly consistent. There is a fair bit of plot armor, but it's also the HP universe.
That brings me to my main critique. I think this story would be better set in the HP universe but using new characters, or at least new main characters. The fact that Harry Potter and similar characters with a full new personality and backstory are used just creates confusion. If the MC had set off events that changed things and changed who they were, and the reader saw that progression, it may be cleaner. But as is feels a bit like a bait and switch.

First off, yes. This is AU. Massively AU. All sorts of things have changed and there are many holes in our understanding of what exactly changed in the past.
Expect to wait a while before anyone gets to Hogwarts.
Harry Potter is raised by Lily and James Potter who are both alive, he has a younger sister who is the 'girl who lived'. All three of his family members including his sister are cartoonishly evil. I mean like its mustache twirling villainy at points as they just are complete jerks to Harry and are just as abusive as the Dursleys if not more. Just because they just reeeeaaallly hate him for... reasons?
At least the Dursleys had motivations for hating Harry. They were frightened by his magic and were forced to take him in by Dumbledore initially. They have a basis for hating Harry even if they're still terrible people for acting on it. I don't feel anything similar at all for Harry's family here. It just doesn't feel that believable that they actively hate him so much without something setting them off in the first place.
Most of the character's personalities are flip flopped from Canon and does feel a little odd reading through, seeing the characters so different.
Spoilers below on my thoughts on some of the character changes.
Fudge and Rita Skeeter are shown in a positive light as upstanding heroes fighting the good fight against the corruption of the wizarding world. Something that was definitely not true in Canon. Fudge was the literal embodiment and representation of Ministry corruption in the main series, taking bribes from Lucius Malfoy and such.
Most of the light faction including Mad eye Moody are portrayed very negatively. I understand Dumbledore being more villainous, but the rest feel like a bit much. Even the villainous students at Hogwarts go straight to murder without a second thought.
I think there's just a case that most characters are chill and friendly with Harry Potter or ready to kill whoever stands in their way in the story. This story c

I think this might be the worst introdoction to a story that I have ever read. I made it 5 chapters, I don’t know if it gets better, but atleast it can’t get any worse.
The grammer is alright, just a few mistakes here and there.
The dialoge however is very tough to read through. I don’t think the author is a native english speaker and they might have watched a bit to much anime before writing this or maybe just never seen/read how people talked back in 80’s/90’s. F*cking “declare your intentions” is not a line I thought I’d read outside of those eastern fantasy stories. And why do they keep saying peoples full names when talking to them or about them? A simple “miss Skeeter” would work just fine.
The characters seem fine (although we do have some alignment changes), other than the Potter family of course. They are so cartonisly evil that it veers over to the unbelievable. Especially becouse we havn’t been told why or atleast been given some clues that there is more going on, but left unseen. The Dursleys were better…let than sink in.
I think that I’m just a bit disappointed. It had quite a good premise, but if the mystery of who opened the vault could have been kept secret for a little bit, I think that would have made a better introduction. But maybe im just spoiled. I think, I just miss some intrigue and subterfuge.
Having Rita f*cking Skeeta do a play by play to the whole world is so dumb and unbelievable that it left me stunned. I know that this is an AU, but come on.
