The Kingdom of Vasier is at a turning point. The old pagan traditions of magic and wizardry are fading, gradually eroded by the winds of change and the rising influence of the Vaserian Church. If her dream of wizardry weren’t hard enough, Anneliese must do so under the gaze of her cross worshiping peers. But her fate is more than the shifting tides of history, it is the tidal wave of unrest. A fight for the very soul of Vasier, against the ancient demons who will no longer remain dormant. If there is hope, Anneliese must find it, but at what cost? For life is not without sacrifice, and dreams are often the first casualty.
