Sarah was bored out of her mind when the one being nobody really wishes to meet pushed the door of the old museum she was working at.

The land's Devil.

A godlike being both adored and feared that required regular human sacrifices in exchange to keep the country safe. They said he turned buildings into phantasmagorical pieces of architecture, people into body horror. They said the number of bodies he left behind didn't always match the number of people he had trapped with him when he opened what people called a "portal". They said he was old enough to have built hell himself.

Still, it was Tuesday.
