I was attracted by the title although the description put me off. But the story itself is good. I usually don't read when there are so few chapters, but this one has a good writing style. The chapters themselves are meaningful. And I liked the story. The MC is also good. It seems logical, calm and collected. The story is not slow either. 3 chapters are enough to captivate the reader. Try it, it's a pleasure to read and the plot is interesting.Good luck to the author

If you were expecting a story of Sherlock Holmes but anime girl in a maid costume with her middle finger up while manspreading, then I'm afraid you will be disappointed. I'm sorry to bring the bad news but I can't help but notice this one critical problem in the story I have read so far (chapter 26): is this really a detective story???? Given the settings, I believed "The Lady Detective of Two Paths" had the potential to be a captivating female detective but then she quickly devolved into a whole another kind of character. The main problem being that the author focuses much more on showing off her magical prowess instead of her deductive prowess giving me the impression that she is a great magician than a great detective.
There are many reasons that make me question her competence as a detective. 1) In Chapter 3, she could have reported the attacker to the police since he has been clearly incapacitated by her magical brew or whatever. 2) arrested a few times for minor offenses related to her detective work. These offenses include trespassing and possibly theft, committed while conducting surveillance or pursuing leads for her clients. 3) Only two years of experience.
There is also the fact that magical solutions seem to make deductive reasoning redundant. For example, the inspector had the power to read minds from dead bodies which should be normally impossible. Yes I am aware that this is a high fantasy story but something like this should be a chance to show the main character's deductive prowess than showing off mysterious magic. There is also divination magic which gives you answers from Gods themselves. WTH. What is the point of detectives then????
Way too much unnecessary and convoluted world building. For example, why mention about some continent and its history (possibly hinting at another transmigrator)??? So far in the story (chapter 26), this fact still has no relevance.
Many missed opportunities. For example, the arrival of the aggressive client in chapt
