Description

Nina Sterling, despite her mother’s objections, is planning a gap year before starting university. She decides to take an internship at her local museum, when a professor there offers to pay her travel and accommodation expenses. In exchange, he asks her to chronicle the places she visits for his research project. Excited to be part of something big, she agrees, and sets off to explore every corner of her magical world.

On her way east, her ship is attacked by a sea serpent and runs aground on an island, which may not be entirely uninhabited. From carnivorous animals, to blood-thirsty natives and even the island itself, it’s going to take everything Nina has in order to make it off the island alive.

The Island of Wolves is now available to purchase through Kindle.

Not a bad story in my opinion! The characters are incredibly diverse and believable. They feel like they could be real people, which I tend to find unusual in high-fantasy-type works.
The author has a fantastic grip on grammar and punctuation, which is also incredibly rare in today's world.
Storytelling-wise, the author has a great hold of storytelling, and presents it in a natural-flowing manner.
I look forward to further adventures, assuming Nina gets through this alive!

I've enjoyed the story so far. It still needs some fleshing out of the Mc as of chapter 15 so far she is pretty much just a handbag to be carried around but with a little growth  time will tell. And im not sure cuttime knows what a mary sue is.

A spoiled and conceited MC who can't tell reality from her dream world lives her very own Mary Sue life, enabled by an author who clearly doesn't live in the same world as the rest of us.
Add magic and the fact that everything revolves solely around the character...
Anyone with a spoiled and self righteous daughter like this MC has my sympathy. Why anyone would want to read such a Mary Sue self insert novel into a dreamworld with magic...I really don't know. I don't want any more of those wannabe princess always getting her way in the end books.
