- NazuraRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I read a lot, most stories worth mentioning on rrl I have read, but I almost never write reviews, but this one deserves it. I would definitely recommend reading this.
I only wish you don’t turn the MC into some kind of friend of justice, he needs to be more evil.
The grammar could use a bit more love, but it’s not that bad.
I love the story, finally no happy go lucky mc.
Can’t say much about style, nothing special, not bad either. - PraefectRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I must say first off that it's really quite rare for me to see a work which outright parodies genre stereotypes to this degree while still managing to be a tense and fulfilling work in it's own respect, one which could exist perfectly well independently of it's humor and still be a satisfying work of drama. The humor serves to enhance the drama and vice versa and the two make a great balance.
The majority of the characters while not particularly fleshed out do seem human and engaging, and the characters who are blatant pokes at anime tropes are well... hilarious. The Main character is particularly well done as he goes through his horrendous ordeals he never forgets to pack his sense of humor or dry wit, which is a refreshing departure from other self indulgent hot topic heroes in other works.
The story is engaging and well done, it never failed to keep me involved and excited for the next installment, though pacing could use some work this does not detract from the work in any major way as the characters and humor more then pick up the slack.
In conclusion even if you don't like Anime, Light novels or any of the thing's this fiction parodies it still might be worth a read though the humor may be less poignant for those who have never seen anime. If you do like anime and light novels then this is a fiction that you cannot miss. - darkjar001Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0'Nuff said. It is pretty good.
Hopefully it keeps going!
Nice work, Mr. Author! - Mr.ParanoidRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Read until Chapter 19
The beginning might seem a bit dragged out and ordinary, but the story very soon picks up pace.
The MC, even though he is immortal, has still a major weakness: he can't use mana.
So no Spellcasting OP MC or super body enhanced OP MC.
He needs to find another way to gain power and so he starts his search for a way.
(Disclaimer: I don't want to spoiler too much of the story).
It is really interesting and original.
Good humour paired with tense athmosphere and a few unexpected turn of events. - Mr.WhiteCalciumRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Funny.Plot makes sense.Mc uses wits more than fight .Though he isn't op he is pseudo Immortal.Keep writing chapters
- grecoskyRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5It's been a while since the last time I logged in in RoyalRoad. The theme of the stories got boring after a while, still I had been greatly surprised that even after some time, I still couldn't forget this story. Sadly, it seems the author hadn't updated for a while, but I see potential in this story and its author, and hope to see more of this in the future
- Good WitchRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Ok, currently I am up to chapter 16 and it is heading in a direction that is... unfavourable. During the story I (and I am sure many others) have noticed the author's hatred of harems but the way vampire girl was acting in the current chapter is basically the beginning of every harem ever.
The whole "He may not like me now but he will" thing is played out and used in every harem and I am genuinely concerned on where it is leading to in this story.
I hope I am wrong in my assumptions. But other than all those problems the story is great! - EmperorWeedRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Like others have stated previously, this story has an interesting take to the whole summoning genre. The way that author pokes fun at the cliche is very entertaining.
style - the style of writing is good. Only gripe I have is that the POV changes become confusing later on in the story. Either state who's POV it is like you did in the heros' battle or use them less. Truthfully i recommend the latter as it will keep the story telling stable and be less confusing.
story - The storyline itself is very entertaining and refreshing. It takes an old genre and gives it a new breath of fresh air with an interesting take from the witness' view.
grammar - Even though it isn't to the point of being too much of a issue, there are still quite a few. A lot of them could be fixed with a PR though. Still, it's better than some of the highly rated fics on RRL so I won't take too much off for it.
character - the mc's personality is the main selling point of the fiction. To me, his personality is a lot more relatable and more realistic than the majority of fics on this site. The hero's personality, although cliche, are purposely made that way so that they can be poked fun at. Still, there aren't too many side characters made yet and this could change for better or worse as more characters appear in the story.
Overall, i rate this story as a 4. Although there are issues with it, there are also many good points to the story and the issues aren't that difficult to fix. Biggest recommendation I have is for you to find a PR and then I think the quality of the chps will improve alot. - KarthoRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5A whole different take on the cliche "Summoning," idea, here we have a blooming story, with a realistic MC, and some wonderfully stereotypical "Heroes." Sure, they get superpowers, incredible potential, and magic, but I mean, Immortality man. And not some frail, ageless immortality, but the Get-Your-Head-Exploded-And-Come-Back-For-Revenge kind. I have great hope for this story.
PS: It also has pretty decent grammar too. - fanvaronRoyal Road★★★ 3.0I liked it, the idea was intriguing and it just really started to get good, but then the author vanished or something. And after almost half a year I finally decided to remove it from my bookmarks, maybe the author comes back, and if its good I will maybe find it again.
But I guess that's the reason why I started only reading stories with more than 40 chapters, just so I can dodge all the child mortalities.
