The Immortal Witch's Death Wish - Arc 1

Description
In this world, one must realize that we are not born equal. Intrinsically, the value of each individual being is unquantifiable. However, when we are born, we are born in many varying positions- sometimes at the bottom, sometimes at the top. Thus, we strive to reach a higher place in life. Though try as we may, we must realize our lack of equality. Only in death, are we truly equal. The young, the old, the rich, the poor, the humans, the animals, sane and insane, all find equality in death. This inescapable law, allows all of us to reach the same destination.
So what can be said of someone who cannot die…? Surely, they’d never be able to rest, they’d carry on about their life attempting to reach that end point that they were robbed of.
To live opposite of humanity, with just one single wish in their heart. This wish can be heard from the bottom of their heart:
-“I want to die.”-

This book is one centered around an overpowered witch who, as the title suggests, only wish to die. The MC is not intended to be a good character, and may often times be perceived as a villain. Heavily influenced by an anime style of writing. For those who love Overlord, Tanya The Terrible, Re:Zero or even my previous novel Plague Children, this light novel is for you.

- Kay'oRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The mc is an immortal witch who wants someone to kill her. It seems like she got too strong and now cant die. Its fun. There are other powerful people, shes not the only one. I like the grimdark fantasy stories so its right up my ally. My only gripe is that it's taking a while to get to any significant plot points. Anyway, keep up the good work! Ps: it wont let me give a 5 star review for some reason. Only 4.5. Idk whats up with that.
- AbeTheWookRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5You’ll be missed. Always enjoyed the long passionate chats about your writing. Rest in peace. Like the witch may you be at peace. (Still not done reading so that how it go?). As far as the start of this move we are equal only in death… through all life entailed it was better with you in it.
- Lucen ThorneRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This is a pretty good fiction overall. I like that the MC acts in such a way that seems to reflect an immortal being who has no scruples with being evil or good. It starts off a little slow, but I'm sensing some building momentum now. The prose is generally well written, with minor spelling errors being my only complaint. Fights are well written and the author doesn't shy away from the nitty gritty as many other authors do. I also really love the world-buiIding that goes on in the background of the main story. The author generally lets the audience know about the world through the actions and words of characters ( barring a few small info-dumps ), and slowly builds up our understanding of the world instead of blasting us with ungodly amounts of law every now and then. I would like to see some flashback chapters as a part of this story, considering we have an
immortal
MC I feel that they could be utilised as a way of world-building that many other stories cannot. Will say the most major complaint is the lack of description in relation to the character's surroundings. So far I get the feeling that the world is built like a pseudo modern-medieval mix, but from my understanding its seems to me that the intended impression is that of a purely medieval world. As such I would suggest that descriptions of the city and use of unit numbers (for the police) to be modified. In addition I would like to see the MC's personality to be a bit more fleshed out in terms of her rather twisted sense of morality as well as more trivial aspects, like how she likes food. Some degree of dry comedy (In a Saga of Tanya the Evil - esque style ) would help to elevate this story to new heights. Keep it up author! This story is going places! (a map would be cool too, no pressure) :D - mitzee4Royal Road★★★★ 3.5**GRAMMAR**
No grammar mistakes per se. A few mistakes that I think better fall under style.
**STYLE**
The author sometimes refers to characters by the wrong names or pronouns. As well as sometimes not giving enough information to know who is speaking. It requires a little effort on the reader's part to keep track of what is going on in a scene.
**STORY**
Too many side pov chapters. I tend to dislike any side pov that doesn't feature the mc so I am biased against it. With that said I skipped or skimmed through the majority of the side pov chapters and didn't feel like I was missing any context. This suggests to me that they can be slimmed down a lot.
Otherwise, the story is fairly bare-bones but interesting. The mc is OP and is kind of tired of it. She holds herself back to try and make things interesting and is always on the lookout for someone who might be able to kill her.
there is a point partway in the story where the author sort of removed this suicidal motivation from her with the understanding that it would come back. It's a bit strange really because she loses her emotional connection to this motivation but is still pursuing it. I hope this gets resolved in arc II.
**CHARACTER**
The author is really good at making me like various characters but I think objectively speaking most of them are fairly shallow. The mc herself is fun to read about because she completely transcends any kind of moral position. She is petty and spiteful enough to murder thousands who get on her nerves but would prefer to preserve life and wants people to grow as strong as possible in the hopes that one day someone will grow strong enough to kill her.
She is joined by a goblin who is enamoured with her incredible power and is used by the protagonist as a bodyguard for the other weaker member of the party.
That being a young girl with a sin-eater style power. By virtue of absorbing everyone's pain she herself as become incredibly resilient to it. The mc sees potential in training her t
