The Hybrid, or am I a Chimera!?

Brass was just an ordinary guy, navigating his early thirties like anyone else. He’d been a fighter his whole life, toughened by hardship, but what he’s facing now is on a whole different level. Sure, he always figured death would come early for him—it was just part of the deal. But what he didn’t expect was for things to get even stranger after dying. Turns out, gods are real. The digital realm? Also real, apparently. And souls? They exist too. Oh, and just for kicks, they can be sent to new worlds with new bodies, only to be bossed around by some irritating entity that calls itself “The Great System”—or at least that’s what a god who’s now obsessed with video games has named it. So here’s to a new life in a new world… I guess.
