I enjoyed this a lot! A sharp wit makes its presence felt from the very first paragraph. I LOVE this line... "but this one took the cake, puked on it, then used him as a garnish and fed him to a starving bear."
Shurn is a great underdog and his worst day ever is made fun to read.
The immortal character piles on the cynicism, and a lot of readers might be reminded of Terry Pratchett. But this has a slightly harder edge. The immortal, seeming to enjoy death, if I've read it right... is quite dark. But dark is good.
Its written well. It flows, and I can't think of too many edits. Perhaps watch out for repeats, or close repeats.
One example..."while pressing him"  is followed in the next sentence with "pressed his"
Another little thing I spotted.. " His fist connected to something wet" should probably be "connected WITH"
Anyway, small things like that didn't detract from the fun tone of the whole thing. Nice work.
