The hero gets scammed

Johanne Karim, a mercenary of the gods is tasked to stop a great war. This wasn't his first rodeo, so he thought it would be simple, but his life gets complicated as he finds out the gods had scammed him! But at the core of all this, something much more sinister is brewing. Will Johanne be able to make up for what was taken from him in time, or will he suffer the consequences?
