Barry Cartwright was an ordinary lawyer until the solar eclipse changed everything. When a wave of cosmic energy awakened superpowers across the world, Barry found himself transformed into something more than human—his body now composed of living steel, granting him immense strength, durability, and the ability to shift between his human and metal forms. Rather than joining the ranks of heroes or villains, Barry focused on using his powers to protect those he cared about while running his law firm, Cartwright & Associates, which specializes in handling the complex legal challenges faced by the superpowered community.

This story is a world building story about what it would be like if people with super powers suddenly appeared in our world.

As of October 2025 the story is complete. If there is enough interest I may pick it back up or start another story in the same universe focusing on just one of characters and less on the world building.
