It’s not often that the dead get to feel alive.. or be alive for that matter

It’s not often at all. Especially under this government. These days, with the underworld’s management of souls so tangled up in bureaucracy, even a graveyard jaunt will cost the average ghoul a crusty arm, a rotten leg, and at least a third of their eternal afterlife spent filing paperwork.

Some undead, however, skip past all that nonsense and get back to the realm of the living by embracing the bureaucracy. Getting on the retainer of the big man, Hades. These souls are allowed into the world to find the living dead that didn’t quite feel like coming back through legal channels. It isn’t at all the kindest job, but the benefits are truly something.

Though, even these undead, don’t tend to truly feel alive again. Especially not when they’ve had to trade away their old lives, names, faces, forms, and flesh (respectively). It’s not often that the dead get to feel alive again..

but it happens..
