I'm digging the style of this story. Lots of action, mystery, and the MC has depth and is relatable. Grammar is on point, so it's easy to read. Fast paced during fight scenes, then cools off during moment of introspection. I enjoyed being thrown into the deep end from the start...no long-winded backstory etc, just straight into the fray, then explain it to me later in due time. Loved the scene on the bridge (not gonna spoil it for you). I think I started liking the MC there due to his vulnerability there, which then I imagine will make his eventual wins more worthwhile down the story.
I think the format of world hopping helps with adding a wide variety of settings to a story, which I enjoy because I get bored of 200 pages of the same orcs and elves. I can also appreciate the attempt to use deeper messaging as it relates to our society. The struggle of the common man, injustice, revolution etc. I think even a fantasy story needs to have a heart, so to speak, if not…what is it even about? Like, it needs to, yes entertain and have monsters and superpowers, sure, but at the end of the day, I read also because I can relate, or see a part of my own real world in the story.

I just read the first chapter and I’m hooked. I really enjoyed the tension building you developed between the characters. I’m curious to see where this story goes. It has some matrix and dragon ball tournament vibes. I think I’m most interested in learning about this greatest battle coming up and whoever this bad guy is.

Cool, interesting, different story. Good mix of action, dialogue, inner dialogue, feelings, etc. Character motivations make them not cardboard cutouts, especially with Roa the MC who is shown to be very human and vulnerable at times but also brave and strong in others. Enemies seem cool and varied, from dragons to the shadows, the desert people, etc. I imagine each world will have its own types of monsters/creatures and subplots. I like this since it keeps the story fresh and not monotonous, and you never know what setting will come next. I want to know more about nirvana and who the real bad guys are, but im guessing the answers come later. I found the grammar to be on point, although maybe you could use more 'you're' than 'you are' in dialogues, especially if it is during an action scene. Would seem more natural to speak faster in such moments. Sometimes also the dialogue tags are missing, and while I was not confused about who was saying what, maybe other readers might get confused? I'm not sure. Maybe I'm just nitpicking. Some people put them 100% of the time, other authors prefer to take a more relaxed approach. Not a big deal, just giving my two cents since I have to get to 200 words lol. Anyways, overall I'm enjoying the progression of the story. You got a follow!

Wow. This has breathed new life into me for reading here on royal road. I've found myself aching for more and more.
The story is stellar. Plot seems to be amazing from what I've read so far. The whole thing is new to me. The idea that out main character's entire known life was simply a dream used to keep him in line? Stellar.
The anime-esque fight scenes have been amazing as well. The opening fight scene having captured my attention and gotten me hooked on the story as a whole. The author uses their pacing and grammar to accentuate the details of the story, and I'm here for it.
I'm in love with the style of this story. It reads quickly, but is long enough to feel substantial. Skirting the middle ground between a fast Read and a long haul attempt. There looks to be plenty of open space for the book as well, with a very generalized goal that still feels unique to the characters involved. We know what the main character wants to do, but how he gets there feels like a sandbox. Anything could happen, and I think that sets the author up to give us some real curve balls later on.
The characters themselves are amazing too. Our main character is the "hope of the universe." But he's introduced to us as a simple accountant. The slow burn realization that his entire life on our planet was simply a dream helps to add real depth to him and his struggles. He is a man who yearns for freedom, but has found himself trapped in a prison. It's a classic conundrum with an epic escape sequence!
The side characters are just as impactful imo. I don't want to give away too many spoilers in any of my reviews, but the first battle left me with so many questions about just WHO this girl was. Why was she so strong? What are her powers? What's her role in the main characters life? And I'm super excited to see where the author takes us moving forwards.

Style:
The general theme that it seems to be going for is that fast-paced Dragon Ball Z sort of action adventure, with to-the-point dialogue that mostly serves to punctuate fights. I’m not going to say it doesn’t work and I’m not going to say it’s not enjoyable; it does exactly what it sets out to do, though some of the more trope-y aspects of DBZ tend to bleed through (e.g. firing multiple energy blasts that do little other than throw up an obfuscating dust cloud). The tropes themselves aren’t inherently bad, and my personal preference is I quite enjoy them, though your mileage may vary.
Story:
While I enjoyed the story itself, I feel that in places it was held back significantly by the oft times incredibly rushed pacing of it all. I get what that pacing was trying to achieve, especially where fight scenes are involved. The intent was to show the fast-paced nature of the battle, but even during the fight, the story could have benefited from taking the occasional breath. There’s nothing wrong with that fast pacing, so long as its strictly limited, otherwise it feels exhausting to keep up with, especially outside of fight scenes.
Everything else; the Palace, the dimension-hopping, the pseudo-time-loop that seems to be going on with the Rest, are all really positive aspects. There’s a lot of potential for some fun twists and turns later down the line. The only thing holding it back is the pacing.
Grammar:
It’s all competent and well-formatted. There was nothing that caught my eye or dragged me out of the story while I was reading, nothing I could particularly fault without being a needlessly massive pedant.
Character:
Roa, being the main character, has multiple chapters to explore his motivations and to reflect on how the story is unfolding around him, but I feel it leaves the rest of the characters a little bare bones. Roa is the affable sort of every-man; world-weary, dragged down by society but never dragged under, determined, and relatable. He’s a great main chara
