Description
Fate has given him a second chance—now he must defy it to save his home.
As a Grand Marshal, Liu Changfeng wielded unmatched authority and strength. Yet, his power meant nothing in a crumbling empire.
No matter how hard he fought, Liu Changfeng was always too late. He failed to slay the vile traitor who tore the empire apart, to save the people he cherished most, and to protect the empire from the vile Nightmare Creatures of another realm.
But when the brilliance of a shooting star streaked across the shattered heavens, everything changed.
Liu Changfeng awoke to find himself thirteen years old again, standing on the threshold of the era that would decide everything. Armed with the memories of his past life and the mysterious Fated Grand Marshal System, he has a chance to rewrite history. This time, he's no longer a reckless boy. He's starting at an academy, building his forces, and preparing for the battles to come.
But even with the power of the Fated Grand Marshal System, Liu Changfeng discovered one truth: some enemies are fated to rise.

- KorstrackRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5It’s a decent start to the story, but I can’t find the rest of it online anywhere and I haven’t seen any updates after the initial chapters were released it looks like? The main problems I have with it are:
1. I can’t read more of it even though supposed the first book is done.
2. At one point the MC is talking about how even though there were smarter and stronger marshals, they just weren’t as good as him so only he survived because he was so cunning or something. It just didn’t make a ton of sense.
3. there’s a moment right after he gets the main quest where he says he needs to go do the exact same thing the quest rewards. And then within the next chapter or two claims to be the smartest marshal ever, even though he doesn’t realize he just needs to finish the main quest asap to do the exact thing he’s trying to do?
