The Frozen Dagger

Description
One of the most valuable artifacts in the world has been stolen and everyone is looking for it. A good man has murdered his employer and is now under the thumb of a local gangster. And the most brilliant general the world has ever seen is on the hunt for the man who killed the king. These plots will collide in a confrontation that sees crafty characters match wits and weapons and may lead to all-out war.
The Frozen Dagger is a fantasy book about clever, sometimes morally dubious, people doing clever, sometimes morally dubious, things. All the farm boys and princes weren't available, but we've got spies, thieves, and murderers. Oh, and there's an elf with a drinking problem (but don't let her hear you call her that).

- PhineasFlynnRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Excellent story. Amazing characters. Engaging plot.
I am surprised to see that this is not getting more attention. This is among the best works I have read on RR.
Plot is interesting, well thought out and engaging. It is complex but also presented in way that is easy to follow.
Characters are fleshed out, including the minor ones. None of them feel like cardboard cutouts.
No grammar mistakes and it reads pretty smoothly.
Pacing is good and avoids unnecessary filler but still manages to give a balanced mix of lighthearted and intense moments.
All in all, give it a read. It's worth the time.
