Description
Jace was just an ordinary college student with no faith in the divine, no belief in afterlives, and no preparation for what came next. One rainy evening, his life ends, and he finds himself cast into a formless void of infinite nothingness—a liminal space where souls without ties are forgotten and dissolved.
Before oblivion claims him, a self-proclaimed god named Myrr intervenes. Myrr is neither benevolent nor malevolent but a cosmic rogue, drawn to the novelty of Jace’s unaligned existence. Instead of condemning Jace to the abyss, Myrr offers him an extraordinary deal: reincarnation in a world of magic, danger, and eternal conflict. There’s a catch, of course—this world is locked in a stalemate between two warring factions of divine forces, and Jace’s presence is meant to tip the scales.
Awakening in a body stronger, faster, and sharper than his own, Jace discovers that survival in this new realm is anything but guaranteed. Armed with mysterious skills granted by the world’s system and little guidance from his so-called benefactor, he must navigate hostile lands, grow stronger, and decide how—or if—he will disrupt the precarious balance of power.
It’s a second chance at life, but the question remains: is Jace truly free, or just another pawn in a divine game?

- EdogRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I completely enjoyed the first 14 chapters, a couple quirks but the story is solid and interesting. Can’t wait to see where the story goes and how MC progresses with his companions. I’m looking forward to seeing how the world is and how the little cast of new adventures… no mercenary’s explore the world.
- TalkaiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I like it alot. My cup of tea, feels like DnD and Murim mixed in a good way. Ready for more. Give it a go. MC seems promising like where his head is at for skills and or powerset. Best girl seems promising she feels like a ride or die help get that bread type.
- damusic2meRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So far the story seems to have the potential to be a bit darker than the usual cultivation stuff here. That being said, it's captivating, i like the descriptive style so far, and can't wait to see how this story unfolds. It reads a bit like a western movie, and that's also how i see this in my head.
- SLPRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Good character development and back story to support the MC with nice interplay with the supporting cast - good early start. An interesting twist on the cultivation theme adds to my desire to continue to follow this one. Background elements are a little thin, but the author i showing some promise, I’ll give them time to grow into it.
- KonstantinKRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Overall this is a great story and quite an addictive read! Each chapter is well paced and the author makes sure that each episode really maintains the reader's attention throughout. The characters are all very interesting and very approachable! I will be a regular reader of this story for sure, and hope I am back soon enough to update this review as things evolve. Keep going and congrats!
Style: The narration is quick and the descriptions are laconic. I am a big fan of this style, as it leaves a lot to the imagination but still delivers the action fully. The prose is mostly good, although there were a few instances that could be polished. The author does not avoid exposition, which sometimes is done through well-described memories, or large paragraph dialogues, but it is done in great pacing so it is well balanced.
Story: It starts with a "big thunder" of a very intense first Chapter and then it follows a rather standard fantasy pace. We learn the world alongside the Main Character, so it is handled in a great way and it is reminiscing of good-old-shounen narration: quick action, quick scenes, quick progression. The first chapters are fun to read, but still missing the big wow moment or twist - which is absolutely fair, as it is too early. What they absolutely succeed to do: they make me want tor read more!
Grammar: Great. Nothing to report really (and who would I be to judge!), but it is impressively devoid of typos so a job really well done!
Characters: The shining jewel of this story! Every character is adorable, terrifying, unique, animated in really lively way! I don't want to spoil much, but all the characters the MC interacts with have their own character, while respecting and serving their own cliche tropes. The MC (Anthony) becomes more nuanced the more you follow him and overall a guy I would like to grab a beer with one day (so he passes my beer test!). - FrozenSnowmanRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I love the story so far and the pacing of it is quite comfortable to just get absorbed into. The chapters are a bit shorter than I'd prefer, however it doesn't subtract from the overall quality of the story. I hope to continue reading this tale till it's eventual end. Truly an enjoyable read. Bravo!
- ausl0serRoyal Road★★★ 3.0Boilerplate backstory, fairly interesting world and ruleset, has potential. Unfortunately the prose is unweildy and the speech stilted and unnatural. Would love to come back to this if it's rewritten. High hopes for this author! Don't lose faith!
Definitely recommend this for people who aren't as picky about dialouge as i am.
Here's hoping the author tightens up the writing and continues with the story, love a good litrpg
