Description

Lorian Aeloria has spent his life striving to live up to the legacy of his noble family. As the firstborn son, the weight of expectation has always been heavy on his shoulders. Despite lacking the magical prowess his family is known for, Lorian has devoted himself to mastering the sword, determined to prove his worth through sheer will and discipline.

But no matter how hard he tries, Lorian remains overshadowed-by his sister's brilliance, by his father's disdain, and by a nagging sense that he will never be enough. The closer he gets to his sixteenth birthday, the more uncertain his future becomes, as old family secrets and hidden powers begin to surface.

When a series of unexpected events shatters everything he thought he knew, Lorian is forced to question his place in the world and the very foundation of his family's legacy. As he grapples with newfound abilities and the harsh realities of a life far from the one he envisioned, Lorian must forge his own path-one that may lead him down a dark and dangerous road.

In a world where power is everything, Lorian is determined to rise above his circumstances, even if it means embracing the darkness that lurk within.

From the first few chapters, you can already tell this will be a sprawling tale of epic proportions. All the beats you expect from the genre are there and presented with competence. Central to this is an idealistic hero who must learn to bend but never break if he hopes to have any chance to impose his will on the brutal world around him. Along the way, he must learn to discern enemy from friend (and vice versa), shore up his deficiencies while honing his strengths, and cultivate the patience and acumen to pick his fights and win them. It promises to be a compelling adventure that will only grow in scale and excitement as the novel progresses.
Also the romantic moments with the Princess are absolutely amazing, it feels like i am the Protagonist. I hope those two will even get closer in the next few chapters.
I very much look forward to checking back in when the main character has had a chance to marinate in his trials and tribulations. No doubt there are plenty of twists, turns, and gut punches ahead.
So in my opinion this story needs to get on the rising star soon.Reminds me of Sanderson or some of those other traditionally published writers.
All in all absolutely worth to read big thanks for the author so far and i am looking forward to more.

Very interesting so far. The first few chapters were brutal, and I sympathized heavily with Lorian. It surprised me when he didnt flee to some other place and run away from his family, but instead followed what his father told him to do, despite how humiliating it was. And the story just kept suprising me from there. Keeps me very interested, I hope it'll continue to do so in the future.
Lorian gets stronger slowly with a lot of work and effort put in. He does not get any deus ex machina power ups out of nowhere, and what he does get for free will have consequences. I also like that Lorian is far more patient than someone his age would be normally given his awful situation. Him having to fend (effectively) for himself in a dangerous world that clearly does not care for him, with only his sister and a few "friends" would be a hard task for anyone, much less a 16 year old boy.
This is definitely worth the read in my opinion, and I hope the author continues to do just as well with this story in the future. I feel like I have found a diamond in the rough here, and hope it gets more attention soon.
