Greetings, fellow reader of books in their beginning stages, here I'm going to give a summary of the strengths and weaknesses shown in this story up to the most recent chapter as of the typing of this review.
Strengths:
The story has great descriptions of the locations where the MC lives and also paints an incredible description of how the MC struggles with indecision. The story also has a unique magic system that feels as though there is more to be found and leaves you imagining what else can be made!
Lastly the chapters are long which makes the reading experience more immersive as you can learn more about the world in a single chapter than most stories I've read.
Weaknesses:
The MC was painted as someone who was struggling with indecision that has left him as someone who is at the lowest point in his world's social structure, however the moment the MC gets a little of the magic in his hand he immediately turns the tide and makes those who harmed him eat dirt, which while great, makes the suffering the MC go through feel unnecessary as if he had gotten his magic sooner then all his problems would be solved. The next issue is the one supporting character who is on the MC's side that stands by and watches the MC without stepping in until lethal problems arise and he also gives the MC a gift which changes the whole plan of the MC has which brings to question that if he is on the MC's side then why only step in now, and also why only give the gift now?
My final issue is with how accessable the magic in the world is as all it took was the MC buying it without real issue, granted the magic is supposed to be rare, however couldn't the MC continue looking while he was attending his academic studies, since magic plays a massive role in both the world and school, and if the academy has magic as a major part of it, could the MC really graduate while still not having magic, wouldn't the academy expel someone who appears to not have magic and has no clear intention of buying th
