The Forest Spirit who sought the Gods
Community Rating
Description
After the Gods of Time, Nature and the Elements created this world, they took a rest under the shade of a tree they created. Thanking their creation for helping them back with its shade, they gave the tree sentience, blessed him and called him a friend.
Now the Gods are half-asleep, content with only watching. The world has breathed for millenia, and the blessed tree still watches over the forest around himself. The world has changed and his life comes to an end, surrounded by loneliness.Gathering what's left of his strength, he passes his torch on, in the hope of giving a last goodbye to his friends, wherever they may be and whenever they would see.
Meet and follow his first and last creation he passes his will to, a one of a kind forest spirit with... abilities (wouldn't want to spoil too much here now, would I?). Curious and cute, he will travel and meet new people, discovering the world he's in, to try and give a last goodbye to the three creation gods in his dad-tree's place.------It's my first time writing a novel! Or anything of the kind, in fact. So bash me as much as you like (within reason, of course).------This will be a world of humans, humanoïds, beasts, magic, and a heartwarming tale of travels across it. It won't always be butterflies, roses and friendship though, heavy moments are there too.
Also : depictions of violence, blood and gore, nudity, strong language, alcohol and other classic +17 stuff. To the reader's discretion.

- Minou BlancheRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A cute little spirit goes on a grand adventure. On the way, he/it meets people, places and God's and learns how to...be.
Well written, minimal errors. I like the way the author describes and shows, and the story itself is cute, fun and intruiging. Binged the 70 chapters it has as of writing, and looking forward to new chapters.
Keep it up, author!
Due to my inability to write 200 words, even with a lot of filler, it is not an advanced review. Why, RoyalRoad, why is there such a minimum?
But serieusly, well done. Would obviously recommend people read this. - NixolasRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Right, well first time reviewing something, this novel is a fun read, many commas? Each writer has there own way of writing, and I appreciate them more than despise them like others might. The book is a good read, and it's a nonhuman protagonist, so a bonus for me. This is a good fantasy setting, and we follow the pov of an elemental who was made by a dying god. The author does a great job and gripping the emotions on serious things like the death of a god, people get sad, they feel sorrow, and they have to move on before they get trampled on. However, as this is fairly early on, I can't tell much about what might happen or change from the future, things might change, but currently it's great atm.
All in all, not the best read I've found, but it's up there, and it's certainly better than alot of other trash you could find out there. - whoeverRoyal Road★★★ 3.0I don't know what to say about starting with 4 "chapters" of pure data dumping. It's better than adding data dumps to actual chapters, I guess. At least easy to skip.
If you plan to read this, I hope you do not care for spurious commas. Otherwise welcome to hell. The author seems incapable to write more than four words without adding a comma.
