The First Dragonslayer

The destruction of the village of Rankelberg was a tragic mystery.

The whole population died in a mysterious fire that destroyed not only buildings, but even metal fixtures and every living thing in the village. All except one man, Hansel, who was returning to town and only stayed long enough to see its destruction. Afterward, the lone survivor turned to drink. Who can blame a man who has witnessed the end of everything he knows?

No one else could have survived that... right?
