- GMA_LITRPGLRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Love the mc and the setting. Sure some improvements can be made like him nearly dying every time cause that gets tiring when it happens so damn often but all in all this novel is great and I have high hopes for how it’ll continue. Damn but seriously this novel just checks so many of my boxes especially the mc cause I got tired of all those hero mcs trying to save everyone, the world, or wtv else. Know how dumb it is for someone to go to a new world then like a few days later decide to fight the empire, gods, or wtv to save it. Became sickening reading that kind of stuff especially when they talked about being guilty, doing whats right, and stuff like that. Better being guilty alive then guilty dead cause you ain’t going to feel anything dead but they mcs so they can jump into the fire say some shit then come out stronger.
- KassisseRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A world-hopping story with inspiration from Reincarnation Paradise and The Devil's Cage ? My favorite genre now have another great novel that I can read ! For the world explored, they are created with synopsis of other work but deviated totally from them to create an original one.
The writing is clear, I'm not an english native and it's not a masterpiece clearly but it's good and you can understand what is written - Klerk001Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0One of my favorite works, I've been watching it since its release and, to support the author, I decided to register and leave a review. Starting with the main character and ending with the stories in the worlds, it is written very interestingly. I hope the author has enough strength to finish it.
- Seb35Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I really enjoyed this story. However keep in mind that I'm rating it 5 stars from the perspective that it's a Translated Novel, and not a native english novel.
You can look at Caerulex's review below to get more details about the story itself, but I would consider this one of my favourite translated novels, as the story itself and the progression is really addicting, if you can get past the awkward and stilted sentence structure.
Although the writing isn't quite as bad as most of the translated novels on webnovel.com and stuff, it's definitely not up to the standards of the more popular stories here, let alone fully published fantasy novels. - The_blankRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I can't believe how this story isn't mainstream yet! I thought I'd read some generic new story and drop it quickly just to pass a few hrs cos I'm already close to my finals , and damn !!! Picking up this novel was the wrong move . I can tell my grades r gonna drop so hard cos all I've done for the past 3 days is just read from the moment I wake up till I sleep . I literally have a final in 12 hrs but I can't stop reading . I'm in the middle of the 6th world now and if anything the quality is going up .End of the review, the rest is me ranting .
Now that's what I hate about advanced reviews and why I usually never do them . It's because they force u to write 200 words . I'm not a writer !!! Just let me submit my review. There isn't even a word count , so I won't know when I hit 200 .
Ps. I already posted this review once before but it got deleted cos I decided to fill the rest of the review with random letters , hopefully this time it will be fine . - VoralRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a gem that I personally think deserves much more attention than what it's getting right now.
This isn't even my main reason of enjoyment (though without it, it would definitely lower) but I'd like to start by clarifying something you can also read in other reviews of this story.
Yes, the MC is constantly very powerful and capable of surpassing the many hard challenges he encounters throughout the story, but calling him OP GREATLY downplays what he actually has to do to survive those challenges in my opinion.
For some clarification, this is a World-Hopping story where a character goes to many different worlds (in this particular case to complete some specific objectives).
Main point here is that, at least until now, he's only ever arguably been the most powerful person inside one of the worlds he went only a single time at the start of the story, and even then he wasn't powerful enough to push through everything and had to heavily strategize when his objective was to target a small army of about 100 men, and that's nothing compared to what he'll have to push through in future arcs.
I'm not considering the small virtual game arc, especially since despite being so above everyone else he still got totally owned by the end.
He always has to try the impossible and dare more than any other person would do in the same situations as him to come out in top, saying he's just OP gives a completely different impression of the story compared to what the actual contents you can read here are in my opinion.
Now with the elephant in the room addressed, time for my main point from which this review title comes from.
You can almost NEVER guess the developments direction when reading the story, be it when the MC just arrived to a new world, to midway through that same arc, to like 2-3 chapters before he leaves said world for good.
It's persistently unpredictable, and this shouldn't be misunderstood to this story plot developments being random, that's not what I mean at all.
Eve - kindlyfireRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story follows a very ruthless main character with the background of an assassin. It's well executed and the writing is good. I wish RR had a "World Hopping" tag, so I could find other stories like this.
Definitely worth a read of you're into overpowered, but not all-powerful, main characters.
Update at chapter 87: Still going strong
Update at chapter 147: Yup, this is still going great - xreyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Altough not perfect it still deserve 5 star since there isnt enough infinty novels in english. The only thing that bothers me is rewards isnt good enough for his achivments I feel like he should be stronger for everything he has done.Altough he looks strong he isnt. He does insane things always with plot armor cum 'Instics'.
- MoonblightRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Fun story and similar to Reincarnation paradise which i also enjoyed and i like the world-hopping and game like aspects.
Protagonist was also an assassin and is quite op .
There's also many chapters which is nice because i read a lot .
I don't write much so sorry for the low quality review . - caerulexRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The Final Desperation follows Genji (just think of him as a John Wick esque OP assassin) after he kills a Champion of the EverRealm and is forced to become the man's replacement (or die trying).
EverRealm is kinda like a nexus of the multiverse and is ruled by a supernatural system that sends people on quests across different worlds. EverRealm is real, and the worlds that EverRealmers travel to are real as well. It's not a video game. And the superpowers that EverRealm gives people are very real!
The quests scale in difficulty, sending people to worlds with increasingly powerful foes, so people in EverRealm are forced to get strong or die. Most people have only 1 month of downtime between quests, and some quests can last months or more, so EverRealm people live a pretty crazy existence of constantly worldhopping to complete quests while struggling to survive. Some people get stuck on worlds permanently when the clear conditions for their quest become impossible, the new world essentially becoming their permanent world. (Honestly, maybe not a bad outcome for a lot of EverRealmers?)
The story follows Genji as he joins EverRealm and takes on quests. What makes this so fun is that Genji is crazy. Like the mayhem of John Wick dialed up to 11. He somehow manages to escalate every world's quests by going off script in pretty ridiculous (and fun) ways. He's crazy OP to start but he is constantly improving his abilities and equipment to face stronger bosses.
It's a great adventure if you're like me and you like strong from the start MCs. Genji is like a metaphorical tiger given wings. One of the best assassins of Earth, now given a progression system with unlimited growth potential so long as he survives his quests.
The Final Desperation strongly reads like a translated novel (the prose needs help) but if you're used to reading translated novels, like I am, then you will be fine. And by translated, I mean translated by a person, not MTL'd. I know this is a disqualifier for s
