Description
An Everlasting. A title given to those who have reached a state closest to godhood. Be it through might and power or through love and compassion. These beings hold great influence over the realms.
This story is about Asura, a young orphaned child, who was taught the way of the blade and has mastered the Warrior Arts at a very young age. Given a recommendation by his master, Asura ventures out to broaden his horizons and to learn magic. Follow Asura’s journey and his quest to reach Everlastinghood.
Comment by the author:
Looking at the chapter list, you might have noticed Volume 1 is not there. The reason is that it’s in the process of being published so I’m somewhat restricted in where and how I can post it.
Edit. 18/04/2017
The first volume is now officially on sale. It is no longer possible to get the first volume for free. I am sorry but it was free for a long time and it was time for it.
However if you like to support me you can find th first volume here on Amazon (getBook.at/TheEverlasting)
Compared to other stories on Royal Road this one is faster paced. No artificial extensions of the story by spending forever in generic constructs, like random ranking tournaments, that don’t really matter for the overall plot. That’s the plan anyway. Volumes consist roughly of 30-35k words.
Additionally: I am not a native speaker, nor have I had any formal education in the English language. I am trying very hard to improve myself. If you want to help me by proofreading my story, shoot me a PM and we’ll see if we can arrange something. Other than my thanks and fake internet points I can’t offer anything, though. Yeah, poor student here…
Edit 22/06/2017
Hey the story is officially ended if i ever decide to continue it will be on another date. The ending is open for anyone to use their imagination. Thank you all for the support. I hope we could meet later in the Everlasting II.
Respectfully
Biako

- AmrioniRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I was a silent reader for a long time here on royal...but this story made me want to speak.
THIS IS AMAZING!
The story is complex beyond anything I have ever seen here on royal road, this however only shows later on, when the author begin telling the lore of the story in an amazing way, linking events that happened earlier with events that will happen later on, making an amazing and really disturbing paradox.
The story starts in a school, this might seem a bit usual and ordinary at first but once the story develops further, you get to discover an enormous world, with massive amount of information, and well told backstory that will leave you in awe.
The story has a fast pacing, like the description had said, but it is still enjoyable where you don’t get stuck in random events that are useless and not related to the overall plot.
The characters are a bit lacking in description but their motives and ambitions are shown later on and with every new volume characters get fleshed out and their personality becomes more distinguished
the style is very good as it will make the reader want more and more.
The grammar is (for a nonnative speaker) amazing.
I hope that whomever is reading this review would just stop and start reading the story. Don’t try to stop and just wait out the things that may seem useless because once you get to the sixth volume you will all find how everything is related and everything the author says has a reason for being there - StrovistRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is one of a kind. While there are many stories regarding magic, fantasy and academies, 'The Everlasting' is a unique work that will drag you into a world of creativity and imagination.
The author has spent a lot of attention bringing this story into life, bringing in well detailed lore on both Magic and the World. Unlike what most writers write about magic, Biakogan has went the extra mile to bring in new and unique concepts about magic into his story.
The characters are great, and the plot flow is such an ease to read. Biakogan has done a very great job of sinking in pieces of the lore bit by bit while he expands on the story.
The only downside to the story is that some of the sentence structures requires improvement. But the bad is minimum, and it does not have much of an impact to reading experiences. I hope more people would provide this story with comments. The author is very passionate about his story and would love to find ways to improve his story. - caliRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Awesome story with great potential to be one of my top favorite stories.
The only issues i have is that some though there is character development it feels kind of rushed and some characters personality are quite shallow(or has no depth to it) although the are side character.
As far as grammer goes, i must say it quite impressive although there are spellling errors like instead of spelling 'thought' he spells it as 'taught'. although it as some one who english is not he first language it impressive - pvtcheeksRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story was nicely done I'm the type of more so to the side of main character development however I still like character development. I think the amount you put in was perfect just enough to give info for the story to continue but not too much to the point of taking up a good portion of the story. I really don't mind grammar as this story is for entertainment, not information ANNNDDD I absolutely loved it I think people bringing up Asura being a hypocrite is uncalled for. You don't just stop loving people man especially someone that close to you and you liked that much. That's like saying a kid killed the family dog from rage and the whole family stopped loving him...like, come on obviously their gonna be mad but they still love the asshole alright. Get a grip guys emotions are fickle but they aren't absent loooool I loved the way he came back saying he only did it for himself but deep down we know... you totally did it for them too little tsundere haha I loved this story so much man you killed it wish I got here earlier so I could have told you how awesome this freaking was when you were getting unjustified hate. I HOPE TO GET SOME GOOD STUFF FROM THE OTHER STORIES!!
- GoodHunterRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Review title says it all. But since it needs 200 characters, I'm going to elaborate. I liked the character development and the epic fights. Great description and suspense. I was hooked from the first chapter. Is that enough?
- KingkidRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I love this epic story. I like how relatable the character is and how when he goes through hardships and betrayals he just pushes onwards. I highly recommend this novel it is one of the best that I have ever read.
- PhantasosesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Hidden gem! This story has a very deep plot and multiple stories going on at once. The characters are not super unique, but they definitely connect with the reader. Overall 4.5/5. Very good story and have read over twice and still finding things I missed the first time around.
- Dreamheart_DragonRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Style: I like the style because 1st person is currently my favorite perspective. Transitions between 1st and 3rd are also smooth enough to where I barely notice. My only complaint is that when you swith between two 1st person perspectives of different characters it takes me a while to figure out who is talking. I suggest indicating who is speaking in the chapter or section name or beginning.
Story: This is my favorite part of the story for one reason. You can tell the inspiration is from anime and manga and yet it manages to avoid all the annoying cliches that those genres seem to be riddled with. No Super easy to achieve harem so far for one. All the relationships have progressed in a natural manner so far. The Magic school thing did not become a beat and showup everyone in school thing, or was even central to the plot, which was a main plus. The progression of power for the character was also more natural that most. He is talented and has some natural advantages, but his power is achieved with help and hard work, not just handed to him magically on a platter. Also the whole story is not just one giant training montage which I am very greatful for. Finally the ideas used in the story seem to be fairly original as far as I can tell and combined in an original manner, and I enjoy the world you created immensly.
Grammer: This is by far your weakest area, but it is by not means the worst on this site. You have done a remarkable job for having basically taught yourself English, but you really need to watch what tenses you use. That is your most often mistake. Also you seem to use magnanimous in a way that often doesn't quite fit the context of what your describing, and you spell tier wrong though I can't remeber how.
Character: This is also pretty good, though there is room for improvement. I enjoy Asura and his often ammusino surface thoughts, but I think the story good be improved quite a bit by putting in some of his deeper thoughts, musings, delimmas and doubts. Al - fishsandwichRoyal Road★★★ 3.0Full Disclosure: Stopped reading after Vol 2
So the plot is nothing terribly new or unique: post-apocalyptic mage school days. Weird how I can say that and believe it to be true, but anyhow the story is your typical superpowered high school drama. I hesistate to say even that as there is little drama to be had. Fight scenes are hit and miss. Some could use more detail, some could use more. Overall I would say it averages out to a be a small plus. Plot details are thin at the moment.
Although the whole first volume is basically just two days, pacing is fast, possibly a bit too fast. For example there is very little character development through the whole first volume. We know next to nothing about the all the characters introduced. Through volume 1 all the characters can be described by one or two adjectives. We know nothing of their motivations or back story. The MC is hardly better. We get a little bit of background, but it is in the form of a vague flashback. This is improved in the subsequent volumes, but then it goes overboard. Add a lot of convenient plot devices and the fact that magic is massively more powerful than the warrior arts he wasted his early years on. Although this is explained and mitigated to some extent later albeit in a rather convoluted manner. Let's just say there are lots of convenient plot devices and people who never question anything.
The grammar issues are mainly with homophones. They are frequent and annoying, but good nonetheless for a non-native speaker. I have seen native speakers do much, much worse. Overall its a okay story with fast pacing, but in need of more character development and world building. - ScandalfRoyal Road★★★ 3.0I have nothing to say about the story, since I didn't get past the first volume.I do however know what kind of plot this novel has, roughly. That is why rated it story 4/5, I think it at least deserves around that much. As for the rest of the things I need to talk about in my review;
Style: I quite liked the style of it. It was really easy to read, sentences were easy to understand as well. And since grammar-wise it is easily above most of the works on RRL, style is affected in a good way from it.
Now, the problem with the novel; characters. Mainly protagonist. I don't know what the author was trying to do, creating a protagonist that has absolutely no personality at all. The entire 1st volume(sure the volume is not that long but that is not an excuse) I have yet to see the protagonist show any kind of decent reaction to ANYTHING. He is supposedly a kid who was brought up secluded from the world, because of his past and because of his training. So you would expect him to be a kid who will be surprise(naturally) by things he sees for the first time(btw trust me, almost anything this kid sees is new to him). But he doesn't get surprised, angry, frustrated, happy... by anything he sees/encounters. And trust me he does get to see some surprising stuff, he almost gets killed twice, he is literally being played around but do you know what his reaction is to all these things? Nothing. Literally nothing. He just doesn't have any reaction to anything. It almost feels like he has a short-term momory loss and just forgets about everything he's gone through in a mere second. It's like he forgets things so fast he doesn't even have the time to react to anything, except out of reflex. Other characters aren't much different as well, but they are much better than the protagonist, which makes his personality(!?) even more frustrating. I mean, when your side characters feel like human but the protagonist feels like a computer, you are doing something completely wrong.
TL,DR; Except f
