Description

High school freshman Cinnamon Strawbrgery—chronically tardy yet super-strong—spends her school days juggling detention, missed buses and family scoldings, then slips out at night to hunt the demons, monsters and other “evil creatures” that overrun Rock Creek Park in Washington, D.C. after closing time. When female masterminds Haddie the Monster and The Baroillain invents a “powerful device” with world-ending potential, Cinnamon rallies her four friends—fellow powerhouse girls Cymberly, Cheyanne (also a frenemy) and Cayleen, plus their comparatively ordinary male BFF Calhoun—to stop the threat and save the world.

The novel’s made-up title word, “convefluence,” fuses convergence and confluence to hint that every subplot—each friend’s monster duel, Cinnamon's family drama and Cinnamon and Cheyanne's rivalry over Calhoun (and one upmanship stuff)—will crash together in one giant showdown. Expect evil creature battles that cross over with outrageous slap-stick (burp and fart jokes along with over-the-top smack-downs abound), and a running theme that messy teen life and heroic teamwork ultimately merge into one “epic convefluence.”

Short synopsis: A group of four super buff and super beefy teenage girls and one normal teen boy team up to stop a female villain from using a powerful device that threatens the world.

The word 'convefluence' is a portmanteau of confluence and convergence.

The novel was originally self-published on December 22, 2023 as an e-book.
