The End Father

In a time when gods delude themselves, [The System] searches for an answer. Earth is gone, in the process of being reseeded for the next generation of [Subjects]. One family runs from the integration, and the sinister experiment awaiting them. Families are trapped in “Training Facilities”, used as hostages. Ethan is doing all he can to get to his family. But if he were honest with himself, the Monsters of the Endless Plains aren't his biggest threat. It is his fractured psyche. At his weakest, he gave into his rage, starting his journey of casting off the System. He just has to keep it together long enough to get to his family.

Rebecca, Ethan's wife, felt like a trapped rat in a maze. So she prepared for Ethan's arrival. She held on to that idea, because what other option did she have? Their Guide said she would get paired up with another suitable mate should Ethan die. But she knew he was coming, as did their children.
