    This makes no qualms about it being an alternate history or future that serves as an info dump and less of a story. The premise opens by what seems to be a joke about tic-tac-toe, but as it goes on that seems to be less and less of a joke. As it progresses, we get more questionable speculation, some are more interesting than others, but this doesn't have the elements of a story in the conventional sense. This is interesting as best, but perhaps it would be better to humanize this a bit more instead of treating it as a history lesson for setting that is confined only to this piece.
