In terms of pure literary merit, this would almost certainly score less, however, I do not believe that it is fair to try to compare light novels and web novels to literary masterpieces and that most people on RRL are not looking for social commentaries or philosophical introspections.
The plot progression is quite brisk, but not so fast as to be confusing. The plot itself is somewhat cliche, but evidently cliches work in this case as this novel is engaging enough for a quick read.
In terms of characterization, there are not enough chapters to assign a score to this novel. As it stands, our main characters are still quite generic, but I would say it's because there aren't enough chapters to flesh the characters out. However, the author does a good job of managing the number of reoccuring characters to a managable and memorable size.
The crux of the issue with this novel, though, is the spelling and grammar. While certainly not the worst and readable by far. Unless you happen to read a vast amount of novels on RRL and/or are a middle school teacher, the aforementioned issues are just enough to hinder comprehension to the point of needing to re-read some sentences. However, the spelling and grammar does not detract from this novel enough for me to drop it, though it can certainly be improved.
To put it in the terms of one of my favorite metaphors, if The Catcher in the Rye and To Kill a Mockingbird are like salads and steaks, this novel is like a bag of chips. Good enough to binge once in a while (or all the time if you have a problem like me).
