The Dramatic Dungeon - A Dungeon Core Story
Community Rating
Description
In a world where Elves and Goblins are real, where Wizards and Witches cast terrible and powerful magic, where [Lvl. 100 Hero]s lead parties to fight one great and menacing evil or another, Dungeons are essential.
Those places of challenge, of exploration, of hardships and triumphs, are where stories are written, loot acquired, legends born and bonds of eternal friendship forged.
And I... am a Dungeon.
So, come one, come all, to the "Stage of Forgotten Fables", and let me, the Playwright, show you a story, like none you have experienced before.
The stage is set, after all, for adramaticDungeon Delve!
This Story is a Dungeon Core Story, delivered from the perspective of said Dungeon Core, "The Playwright". The LitRPG elements of Levels and Skills, Classes and XP are all there, but there are no "Stats" or "HP" (at least they are not measured or displayed) and there are no numbers to crunch (other than Level or Skill level, but those don't crunch so good). It is fairly slow burn as well.
I aim to shift the perspective quite a bit, to show the characters growth from multiple POVs, but I am a novice writer and this is my first story, so don't expect anything fancy.
Update Schedule: 1 Chapter per Week, usually Saturday or Sunday around 17:00/18:00 CET respectively

I have been made aware of an amazon seller using my name to sell a pirated version of this book, albeit the title is changed. I have reached out to amazon about taking it down.

- The_big_eyeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Good so far I like the theme and the story and stuff so keep up the good work the review must be 50 words long so I am tipping random words so I like trees that are not real and are from burger King and the first film is the communist party member of war and stuff that happened when they were on fire.
- SageofNaNRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0One of the more interesting Dungeon Core stories on this platform with a one of a kind premise.
I'm really hoping for a long read story. The world seems so well thought out so far, and I'm interested in whether it can be a long lived series but will be following this story closely.
Ps: Dear Author- Keep up the good work! This story is such a fun read and whether it's a small series or not this is fantastic and look forward to what you write next. - EvolutionRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a unique story with an incredibly innovative twist on dungeon core stories. There hasn't been much world-building yet, but the environment-building has been top-notch and gives life to the scenery. With virtually no errors (grammatical, spelling, etc....) in the fairly decent amount of details given, the flow of the story is never interrupted, likewise with the story's pacing itself. I appreciate the way you are introducing characters and minions. They each feel unique and worth developing interest in, even with how little time they've spent "existing".
Honestly, novice writer or not, this one of the LESS THAN 10 STORIES where I haven't found myself wanting anything, save for a greedy desire for MORE CHAPTERS!!!! Naturally don't rush yourself, but I am sure i'm not the only one hungry for anything more you can throw at us readers! - DragonanzarRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The main character in this story is an animated pen slash dungeon core. Why is it a pen? How did it become a dungeon core? Why is it addicted to the theatre? None of these questions have yet been answered (by Chapter 10, anyway). The answers we do have is that it's a well-told original (as far as I know) take on the whole dungeon core plotline. While the dungeon does earn experience from combat, that's not the only way, giving the dungeon core the ability to continue its passion despite being an animated pen.
Style
A good style. Sometimes a little awkward phrasing in parts, but overall very readable and engaging.
Story
As far as I know, this kind of plotline is original, which is refreshing to read. The story is thoroughly engaging, keeping me clicking through the chapters and raising more questions than it answers - as all good stories do ;)
Character
A thoroughly dramatic character (appropriate considering the name of the story) the MC is amusing and engaging. It'll be interesting to see it develop.
Grammar
Generally pretty good. A couple of things here and there, but they haven't impacted my enjoyment of the story so far. - KokishortailRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is by far one of the best dungeon stories I've ever read and can't wait for more, I love the way the main character thinks and acts and the story is so endearing, im sad that this is as far as has been released so far and I can't read more but I'll wait patiently!
- MoldugaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is definitely one of my favorite dungeon core stories and has an interesting twist to the standard dungeon core story. The main character is interesting and is supported by an equally interesting cast of sub-characters who provide their own unique insights into the actions of the dungeon. I look forward to seeing how the theater loving MC will evolve.
- unnatural20Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5An interesting set up with lots of potential to develop into greater.
Although the setting and system are pretty standard stuff , with mild variations the execution on the setup is uniqe and competent. Overall this story is good so far only really lacking depth provided by more development. But it has potential to become great - Kloaken1Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5This captivating dungeon narrative stands out as one of the finest stories within the genre. The perspectives from various characters consistently deliver a rich and cohesive experience, with none feeling extraneous. While not every character is flawless, their imperfections contribute to their depth rather than rendering them hollow.
The narrative's strength lies in its ability to seamlessly weave together diverse viewpoints, providing readers with a nuanced understanding of the dungeon's world. Each character adds a unique layer to the unfolding tale, creating a tapestry of complexity that enhances the overall narrative.
The exploration of the dungeon core concept is masterfully executed, offering a fresh and engaging take on the genre. The author skillfully avoids clichés, ensuring that the characters' actions and reactions feel authentic and contribute meaningfully to the plot.
For enthusiasts of dungeon core novels, this book is a must-read. It doesn't merely adhere to the conventions of the genre but elevates them, delivering a captivating experience that will leave readers eagerly anticipating each turn of the page. The author's adept storytelling and well-developed characters make this a standout work in the realm of dungeon stories, offering a compelling journey for those seeking a novel and immersive adventure. - SomeBSDeityRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0No obvious grammar issues and I am loving the premise and characters. It's been fun to read a dungeon core that is A) not homicidal and B) has a unique interest. Excited to see where the story goes and how the adventurers respond to the odd dungeon they found.
- NanotrexsRoyal Road★★★ 3.0I enjoy the idea of a stage based dungeon and it is quite well written but I can't really enjoy it because the later chapters become very short which makes me feel like I'm streaming a movie with bad Internet.
I feel it will be better if author reduces posting speed and increase chapter size
