The world is a violent world filled with heroes and villains, filled with herculean valor, saints of boundless good live beside indifferent evil and hearts made of boundless malice but all live under one truth. Violence is the currency of kings and country. With it alone, nations buy the right to draw breath for another day, and it is the only language the gods seem to hear.

By ancient Oath, a people live as a breathing dragon’s horde, aspiring to build a city of gold and dreams, pressed and attacked by champions wanting to slay a dragon and monsters seeking to consume the dragon’s power.

By the side of the dragon is his one eternal companion. Once his head priestess, who lorded over the humans for generations using foul magic to extend herself, a practice she took too far, she has now become an ageless lich and forever bound herself to the dragon’s whims. This is a tale, broken across ages, and will follow the life of the dragon, the world around him, and the people who will serve or resist him.
