This story… it is something endearing, that can captivate me while I read it, make me actually feel when the characters suffer through those bad moments, laugh when they are having a good time together, as much as the situation allows it. It is not exactly a original idea for a story, but honestly its so well executed here.
About the main characters, I just love them, how they are written, how they interact with eachother, though honestly I may be biased here, especially since the story so far has been only focused on them two, with no other characters being actually focused on, atleast outside of the flashback chapters, though that is likely to change as the plot progresses further on.
Sonata is just so likeable to me, she is just trying to survive, while also taking care of her weaker sister, their moments together are one of the highlights of this story.
Sonata is a child, one who has been raised as a princess, in a harsh place where there was just no love to be found, even from her own parents, only duty was expected there. She thus quite acts more mature than normal for her age, doing the best she can, yet that is not absolute. Sonata is quite the strong character, especially with that kind of past, along with her realizing that the present situation is actually quite bleak, that there seems to be no hope for them both, yet she still goes on, not giving up, not just for herself, but also for her sister, and in all that, she stays strong in front of Sophia, so that she can be happy as much as possible. Her growth throughout the story so far has been quite remarkable, and yet more is to be coming for her as a character, I quite want to see how she will be like later on, how she will go through the future trials that await for her.
And then there is Sophia, she has quite the traumas in her past like Sonata, but even worse in some ways, to the point of even being outright rejected by her own parents because of what she is, with her only support being Sonata, she ma

erm...no easy way to say it I guess, but you sort of lost me in the early chapters.
The dragon mother that leaves her children to fence for themselves was a great idea. You get a sense of wonder of what's going to happen, you can feel the emotions going on behind the scenes and so on.
But, then it all sort of start to go downhills shortly after, I mean, my understanding the premises of the story is that they are in a cave in the middle of nowhere and I start to wonder what will happens in the future of that time and place with this mc.
Then, the little sis awaken in the cave, she begins to chirp chirp, the bigger sis takes cares of her, im like....errrrr, not really what I am looking forward to, but whatever, lets go forward, I sort of wants to know what will happen in the future..., but, to my understanding,  I am brought to the past with no warning whatsoever... Again, I am like...ok...whatever, maybe it is for important information and will last for 1 chapter or w/e...,
But, I guess I will never know, because I feel that like at chapter 12, I feel like I didn't learn much about any adventure the little girl has to go though...it feels like she didnt even exit all that much from the cave? idk...I don't even know what the outside of the cave looks like...
In my mind, the premise of the story was the survival of 2 young dragon and their discovery of the world from being in a cave, alone in the woods, in the middle of nowhere...and...I just don't understand, up to chapter 12, where the story brought me. So, I am just going to skip the story. (Sorry, you sort of lost me and my sense of curiosity, wonder and amazement just sort of fazed out at this point.)
There is nothing wrong with having different timeline, characters point of view, switching location or having a dream, but please, please...just give us some clues about what you are talking about.
