This book delivers a strong opening, drawing readers in with its rich world-building, well-developed characters, and an intriguing hook. The storytelling is immersive, setting a solid foundation that keeps the reader engaged from the start. While it’s too early to fully judge the entire narrative, the first five chapters establish a compelling direction, which is all one can ask for in the beginning of a book. The only reason for the 4.5-star rating instead of a full five is that true excellence is measured by how well the story sustains this momentum. That said, it’s an excellent start, and I look forward to seeing where it goes.
