Description

Cody is doing his best to survive high school; to live up to his father’s expectations and the Abbot name - he better grow up quick if he wants to be a Marine.

But with each new day, that future seems further out of reach. Let’s face it, he’s just not big enough. Not strong enough. And if everybody just sees him as the 'little guy'?

*Slap Slap*

Laughter.

Pain.

The more Cody tries to be like his father, the greater the disappointment he faces. And now, does he evenwantto be a Marine anymore? To protect a society that can produce such cruel and selfish assholes?

Not that it matters - he’s just been sucked into a dungeon for the next three days, and if he doesn’t figure out magic, stats, and his inventory - he won’t have to worry about anything.

He'll be dead.

This is a rewrite to implement the advice from the books last posting - with one book already written and being posted as it's edited - and a second book complete to be posted for the first time. My goal is for consistent, weekend postings with bonus chapters throughout the week.

While well written for the content I couldn't make it any further in and for that I apologize, it's just TOO in the main characters head and feels too much like a pysch students thesis/story assignment. And while this can be appealing to some people I myself find it off-putting, and occluding. It's hard to tell when he's actually being attacked by something or being,,,, emotional for lack of a better term. Asides from that the MC at this point really seems to be diving head first off the deep end, and while that may be "realistic" and understandable, it does not make for a story I personally enjoy.
I will definitely say if that is your kind of deal through, it seems interesting and very well written on a non-objective basis, I hope people who are into that kind of perspective find this, as I'm sure they will enjoy themselves.
