- InslayerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I don't know how I'm going to find enough words to finish an advanced review this early on, but I will give it my best. Keep in mind that the first 6 chapters are considered as a prologue of the story to follow.
For starters, the story is darn well amazing. It starts with a dream and hopefulness for the future. You have the adventuring tag and the first chapter really sells you on that.
Unfortunately, however, the rest of the tags come to play after the children go to sleep.
Anyways, if you read the tags and still decided to read, I promise you that the story delivers.
Continuing with the review, the style of the story. For me it means how easy the novel is to read (without taking into account the grammar). Thus far I couldn't find any faults with it and the pacing is fairly good, though I will reserve further judgment until we have more chapters.
Grammar had a few very silly mistakes, which is weird considering how clean the rest of the story is. But yeah, I won't kill the perfect rating for three or so mistakes.
And finally, the characters...
This is a much harder one, as well as what I consider to be the most important part of any novel. With only six chapters to go off, I can't say a lot of things...
BUT!
In less than six chapters the author manages to create a bond between three characters, a bond stronger than others cultivate in their entire novels.
Now, of course, it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, but for what it's worth, we got a good feel for what these characters are, who they are and their thoughts and motivations for the future and on.
Overall? An adventure story that takes a dark twist right off the bat. Like I said, if you are intrigued by the description and the tags, I most certainly recommend you read this story. If anything, I'm positive you won't be disappointed.
