The author asked for some input on the work at the end of the chapter. Overall, the prose is good and while the narrative voice does have some issues, it is not a major problem. The setting is a bit difficult to understand, particularly as Zeff seems to be in a quasi-Japanese setting and yet some actions are described in ways which make no sense - such as jumping from tree to tree - something that would be incredibly complicated, if not impossible outright, and certainly anything but stealthy. Other aspects of hunting do not make much sense, such as being worried of a small arrow hole in a hide. The idea is good, but the details become a bit of a problem.
