The Darkness of the Sun

In the island of Draca, the word Possession has a singular meaning – the Possessed are taken to King Iretsa’s castle, a journey from which no one returns, alive or dead. When Jubi’s beloved father is Possessed, she determines to save him. But her quest is upended when she finds that her father has joined the monsters. He demands that she does the same. If she consents, immortality-in-dribbles will be hers; a refusal will mean deathlessness - of the less enticing kind.
