Description
Triss expected a normal day. A job interview. Some coffee. Definitely not being magically kidnapped.Unfortunately, a dark wizard named Percival misfired a spell and accidentally summoned her into his tower.
He immediately declares her “useless” and orders his draconic assistant Reginald to “take care of her.”
Reginald, fortunately, decides that means “feed her, hide her, and pray his boss never notices.”
Now Triss is living in a villain’s tower, dodging a homicidal wizard upstairs and relying on a lizard man who thinks jump scares are peak comedy.
Things get worse when another dark wizard from Earth picks up her trail—violent, unhinged, and convinced her blood is the key to going home.
Surviving this world was already hard.Surviving its wizards? That might require divine intervention… or at least a lot more coffee.

- Dame AlannaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0What a wonderful cozy adventure. This story is heartwarming, funny, and has just enough intrigue to keep me glued to the pages. It subverts fantasy tropes, makes me laugh, and still manages to make me feel.
The story is very well written and has little to no grammatical issues. The pacing is fairly good and so far doesn't drag too much. The action is exciting and easy to tell what's happening.
Triss and Reginald both have wonderful depth and a whole buddy cop vibe that really reinforces a found family theme. The banter is wonderful and is honestly a highlight of the story. For the most part, the story is fairly focused on these two with a fairly limited supporting cast, but I think this isn't an issue as they're both fun and interesting.
The story is fairly straightforward, but benefits from a fairly interesting world and a decent helping of mystery. We slowly zoom out from the castle into a bigger world that unfolds in a fun and interesting way. The creatures are super interesting, the politics of the wizard council and the kingdoms is janky but fun, and there's plenty of room for continued exploration.
If you're looking for something cozy and fun this is it. Please give it a chance, you won't regret it. - SemaphorRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So far, I have enjoyed this story. I was looking for a fantasy comedy story, and I think that it does have that vibe. The writing style is good and non-cringey.
I am curious how Triss will adapt to the world and its rules, and how her summoning will affect the other characters.
