The Curse of Curious Purpose

Erec finds himself on a ship in the middle of a never ending storm. The captain is a fool, the quartermaster wants him dead and Erec has no idea who he is. All he remembers is his name and that this life is a second chance. A second chance that he owes someone a favour for in return. Despite this Erec  knows that he can overcome his dire circumstances, because apart from the second chance, he has been granted another gift. Supreme competence. He knows that he will be the absolute best person in the world at whatever he chooses to do.
