- CryoCrunchRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This is well done, well written, and finding errors is sparse. Overall a solid 4.5 especially compared to other stuff on this site. Nick and his family have character and personality and interaction fell real. this is a solid novel.
criticisms
The villains in this book seem two-dimensional, yes their evil, but even terrible people have good qualities. Tony has done nothing that would even remotely be enough to keep him in power, this is explained away by saying he pit people in the group against each other despite relations with a lot of groups seeming neutral to positive.
Things seem to be falling into nicks lap, (Though this might be a scewed review as I haven't read what remains to be posted of the story) so far he's been practical handed every tool he owns, despite it being his explorer class he's found things like the loot goblin, had a secret button mentioned to him out of the goodness of someones heart and found a secret no one else seemed to know of in the middle of a town populated by 10's of thousands of people.
Spoilers people. - Dragonslayer4466Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5I started reading this novel with fairly low expectations considering how unknown it was. However after checking it out i was pleasantly suprised. I have not noticed any issues with grammar, and i think the authors writing has even improved as the novel goes along. The premise is fairly interestig an one that i have not often come across. The main character seems alright and the progression system manages to remain familiar while also being unique. All in all well done.
- woseRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5What you're in for: A fun, fast-paced horror story that you are guaranteed to binge through if you give it a few hours of your time. The characters are also likeable, even if a few modern references date them a little.
The stuff that didn't work of me: The story is a little rough around the edges, with obvious syntax and grammar errors slipping through the cracks that the author would definitely find if they slowed down a bit. Also the action scenes suffer from the same issue during the first chapters, where a description will flow too quickly or cut off too soon, obviously trying to invoke a visual reference that isn't there. If the author can, I'd recommend he slows down and revisits these points to give the story back the oomph it needs.
I will be following this though and will probably be updating my review later, seeing as how there is a very clear progression in their skill level.
