Waking up alone in the woods is one thing. Being woken up by a weird raccoon dog stealing your food is another.
Not everyone is destined to partner up with the most rare and mythical Pokemon. But one worlds common and mundane is anothers strange and wonderful.
Yet another Pokemon SI Fic, because I too deserve to inflict my childhood fantasy on others.

- lynxgoddessRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Interesting take on an original character dropped into the Pokémon world. It's a little more slice-of-life than battle mania which is a nice break from typical Pokémon inserts. The original character is easy to empathize with, and I love the idea of the more normal Pokémon getting their time to shine. I'm looking forward to seeing this world and story develop!
- vk346Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5When browsing through stories on Royal Road and other similar sites you can generally tell pretty early on if a story is going to be good or not. The general premise being interesting, the quality of the writing, the flow of the story, the humour etc. etc.
I read the first four chapters of TCF after browsing though the surge of rising Pokefics and I could quickly tell this will be a quality story if the author keeps going.
Their prose, dialogue and grammar is great, definitly a step above majority of fan fictions I've read on here and sites like Scribblehub. Still too early to say what major plotwise will happen but the MC doesnt seem dumb and is pretty hunourous which I find refreshing. So many SI in fanfictions these day rarely show much emotion let alone humour.
I definitly recommend checking TCF out if you like Pokefics and I am excited to see how the story pans out.
