In the swampy backwater of Vrimble Quay, eel farmer Thrupp buys a clockwork tongue from a toothless peddler, hoping to spice up his lonely nights.

    This is a good short story! It is wild and does a lot with the setting and the characters in a short space. It is just enough parts ridiculous and strange to have the sort of magic. I really must say that the piece is worth reading and should not be spoiled. The ending is a bit tongue in cheek, maybe a bit too genre aware, but that is all in the fun.
