The Chronicle of Karl: Industrialization of Rohrkadia
Community Rating
Description
Rohrkadia Peninsula centuries ago was the center of human civilization in the southern hemisphere. But after the absence of war for 5 decades, the population rose to a level where the supply of food couldn’t keep up with the entire demand. In the era of Great Famine, millions of people died because of starvation. Meanwhile, Carl Sanders a 75 years old Hardcore capitalist, Engineer and Army Veteran died in his home in Baltimore and woke up in a body of an orphan boy named Karl son of Xander. At first, he was confused but then he remembered one of the quotes he often heard in his previous lifetime: ‘Once an entrepreneur, always an entrepreneur’You can visit my blog for the maps, glossary, and faster chapter release.Blog: https://arquestories.wordpress.com/

- ScorpionRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Love it and want more.....hasn't been a update for awhile and I don't know if it's on hiatus or dropped but please more of this. It's easily become a favorite of mine on RR and other sites....I need more or at least a notice of drop or hiatus....
- General Use OnlyRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This is the kind of story I wish I read in my adolescence, to be honest. It's like a self-motivating book that all businessmen read to develop an entrepreneurial mindset, but in a MUCH MORE entertaining setting.
As opposed to some reincarnation stories where the MC dies due to a tragic event at a young age (I'm looking at you Truck-senpai), this story stars a character who has passed through all stages of life, living through the misery and effervescence that it offers, before passing away peacefully. In his new life, he applies the skills and knowledge of his past self, with the same entrepreneurial drive.
It might sound ridiculous to suggest this, but seriously, let yourself be enlightened by the way the character sees the world. He sees bees, and he thinks of making an apiary. He sees a lack of salt, and he thinks of making salt pans. This is in a fantasy setting, but imagine this same mindset in the real world setting.
It's idealistic, but I judge these kind of stories to be good for people to be introduced to business. Some have never thought of starting their own enterprise, and they have definitely thought of slaying demons with a sword. This story is a compromise, and would possibly lead you to ignite the entrepreneurial fire within you.
Please continue author. You make me happy. - loaferRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Im Chapter 7 so far. Im implying the author is male – so I will use he
Style:
I enjoy this a bit more mature style and realistic view. Not like the Novels where they are reborn and can do everthing (and everyone).
Also he uses some details, to make the knowledge more believable, but dont lose himself to much in info dumps. For my Opinion it could even be a bit less, but Im sure alot of people have a different opinion.
He uses a diary style to do time skips( so far only from day to day). This is a good way to not confuse the reader or repeat yourself. Especially when some days are short or uneventful.
Story:
Its one of those story for me, where Im sad there isnt more yet.
The story well paced, nether to fast or to slow.
Its nice to have a more mature view and a bit more realistic background to explain the knowledge.
The story so far is nothing new or unique – but its very well executed.
Grammar
I didnt noticed any error or weird formulation – but Im not a native speaker.
Character
So far its good.
The main story didnt even started yet, so the author have to focus on the story before he can realy deepen his characters. - jburge1Royal Road★★★ 2.5When I read the synopsis for this story, I thought it would have the potential to be one of my favorite stories on RR. Unfortunately, it needs a lot of work. The idea is great, but the execution is below average. I realize that this author is not a native English speaker, and while his grasp on the English language is very good for conversations, it is not that great for telling a story. Grammar was getting progressively worse after each chapter (I read through Ch. 3), and the vocabulary used was incredibly bland. The story needs more, and better descriptors. Right now it reads less like a story, and more like an instruction manual.
