The Catalyst Chronicles

Description
humanity has undergone a transformative event with the emergence of"The Catalyst" gene, a sudden genetic mutation that rewrote the rules of evolution. This gene, present in70% of the global population, manifests in random superpowers upon activation. The range of abilities is vast, unpredictable, and often uncontrollable. Some develop powers tied toelementslike fire, water, or lightning. Others gainanimalistic traitssuch as super senses, enhanced speed, or the ability to transform into beasts. The powers can also beobject-based, such as creating or manipulating weapons, tools, or constructs, or they can bepsychologicalormental, like telepathy, illusions, or manipulating emotions. There are even individuals withmythical abilities, resembling gods, monsters, or legendary heroes.
Societal Impact
The widespread appearance of powers has divided society. Those with abilities, calledCatalysts, are seen as either blessings or threats, depending on their nature. Governments and organizations have scrambled to create systems to regulate these powers, with some areas embracing Catalyst abilities and others fearing or banning their use. Non-Catalysts (the remaining 30%) often feel marginalized or powerless, leading to significant social unrest. Conversely, some Catalysts with dangerous or uncontrollable powers struggle to find their place in society.

- KyubiomoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I like the Catalyst Chronicles for its extreme brutality and realistic nature of heroism. Which compared to my hero Academia. Does not capture The brutal realism. And the best thing about this story is that the nihilistic. and cynical nature of the villains like yohiko tenko. And the chapters where it talks about the reality of the world. where the symbols of evil like yohiko tenko. and junko gacy the monster and tyrant and i like krishna's character. because he suffered a lot from his past and all the way up to the present. He suffered alot and the fact that the author puts in the time to explain the motives complexities symbolism and even a bit of psychological analysis. and backstories. on Side characters makes the story good to read. Because those acts like character summaries and psychological reports. that makes characters extremely well written.
But the thing is some readers do not comment underneath the chapters to tell him any sort of mistakes he made or any critiques to be honest like rushing the story or inconsistencies because the readers are silent and not commenting
But the story overall is very good and it does capture some Concepts such as good and bad for example for the hero side we have terrible fathers like fonikó desukurō and special method and for good Fathers we have Zephyr the #6 hero and the amount of war and genocide in this story alongside implied rape and murder is a lot including torture because the first implied rape started at chapter 11 which was pretty damn early which I think that the author could have just let it reach until chapter 31 or 51 but it's his style of writing being brutal realistic and nihilistic - RokumaiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0this is the most brutal story by kryishma and the most well written story by kryishma and this is goddamn good for a child author at 16 and this is massive 3651 pages long and he put this much time into this means he has good passion and dedication for his stories
- UrumiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The Catalyst Chronicles is quite a chaotic Story by kryishma because it does not follow the same like his other work kowareta shonen A straight storyline without the random chaos being randomized chapters and no story lines but this makes it like baki
Pure random chaos but makes it quite fun to read and also the heroes are morally gray as hell which I learned from the author himself that this is a direct critique to my hero Academia because it does not involve the human nuances such as trauma morally gray and corruption in heroism enough so pretty much the the story represents that nothing in my hero Academia cannot function properly because of brutal villains ruthless Heroes and people in for the money corruption and harsh brutality such as the heroes ruthlessly killing anyone who's a criminal or a gang member or terrorist because the thing is it does not count in the nuances because my hero Academia is way too idealized and this is just a brutal revamp of my hero Academia that counts in everything morally gray Heroes trauma emotional numbness because Heroes cannot be good in a world of harsh brutal villains terrorist gang members because of how violent disgusting criminals can be
So the author is quite the philosopher because of the references to ideology nihilism cynicalism Humanity hating rationalism and ideologies represented by heroes and villains
