The Broken Land

It seems clear that throughout history, other great nations and kingdoms rose and fell with startling regularity.

Although there are few records surviving from before the last great collapse, those that do remain speak of indescribable horrors, beings of great and terrible power that preyed upon the remnants of society, although alternate accounts imply that it was the monstrous deeds done by other people that lead to the collapse of society, not any kind of actual monster.

Regardless of which is true, it's certainly true that this land is not one that can be tamed so readily. I have been to the northern wall, I have seen with my own eyes the twisted horrors that lie beyond, and I can understand the stories and records of demons laying low entire cities in a single night.

Nevertheless, this is our home. With the blessing of the Gods we have pushed back the horrors of the north farther than any who have come before us. Let us be the beacon that lights the way for all of Humanity, and define our future as one of glory and triumph.

So hey there, welcome to my story that I'm writing. A few things you should know before you carelessly dive into it:

This is going to be the greatest story you've ever read. Not much I can do about that, sorry.

I mean really, think about it, it's inevitable.

And to top it all off, a worldbuilding folder and story plan so elegantly perfect that it can be compressed into one of the smallest information storage systems on the planet: My brain!

So buckle your seatbelt buckaroo because what you're about to experience is going to be unlike anything you've ever imagined and I'm not at all even worried about living up to the expectations I'm setting because I dedicate so much of my life to writing that even if you're reading this as I'm writing it the first chapter is probably halfway done and I am not at all making that up.
