The Brittle Throne

A world beset by shadow, besieged by darkness, and - most worryingly - at constant war. While dukes vie for dominance over their contemporaries and Kings raise armies over petty disputes, something more sinister grows it's influence around the outskirts of society. A boy and a girl are set against the world, together yet almost entirely alone, they must try to save their kingdom from it's neighbours and worse. Their journeys see them grow - and grow closer - as they attempt to overcome the obstacles placed in their path.The Elements are harnessed by Conduits and their Partners. Residing over the battlefield, they tear battalions apart singlehandedly - they are powerful military assets, rewarded with power and influence. A Nation's strength can be measured by their number alone, and by that measure the Lucerian Holy Kingdom is one of the weakest Nations of it's landmass. It begins an intensive recruitment drive in order to fend off it's rivals and secure it's borders, leaving no proverbial stone in any village unturned. As a result, our protagonists are swept into the war effort by the state. Thus, the story begins...Notes:Expect gore, other tags are to allow for creative freedom down the line.
