Description
This is the sequel to WANTED and takes place nine years later. This was written in November 2021 for NaNoWriMo and does not reflect how I currently write. This was also the last time I ever participated in NaNoWriMo.

- DanielWattsRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Another story that does a good job setting up the universe of the author's own design. He shows he is good at creating interesting characters who are (mostly) well fleshed out. His work drips with emotion and, even from this early entry, you can feel the passion he has for writing. The setup where you have Ronald's daily life blending into something more is well executed.
It gets bogged down pretty quickly by repetition, over explaining, and extra helper and directing words. We all go through a phase where word count is king, but I feel like this story could have been half as long if you cut out the extraneous bits. Stylistically, the author has improved markedly and this story serves as a good time capsule for it.
Chapter 7 has a lot of plot contrivances and areas that leave the reader attempting to make sense of it. The implausibility undercuts the tension.
It does come together at the end. Satisfying despite its flaws. It's a good read.
