Description
SkyTower City was built around the remnants of a long dead sorcerer's lair. Though the era of magic had long since passed, the dark enchantments on the colossal tower still held firm. After thousands of years, the city has grown to be one of the largest, and most deadly places in the world. Over five hundred miles in diameter, and over twenty million inhabitants, the beast rarely slept. This is the tale of but one of those many people, and his goal of being the first person to enter the Skytower since the death of it's last master. To do that, however, he'll need an army, and an ocean of blood.

- Xervell HaedrixRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The characters, the backstories, and the world itself made this such a treat to read. In my opinion, fantasy with heavy sci-fi implementations is one of the hardest things to get right, and from what has been made here is one of the strongest stories I've read for it. The details of different characters having mixed genetics from so many different species in such a tight environment is wonderfully put, and its done in the way to make the reader think, "How TF did that even happen?!" Giants and leprechauns getting it on was certainly not on my bingo card.
As for the downside though, there are some gripes. One mainly being that some details are difficult to understand at first. Such as the office door in the Giant's Coinpurse, I had to read again several times to understand that it was some kind of maze that came up before Perriot actually explained it. That's the other thing, the explanations are great and all, but there are, at least in my opinion, times where an explanation was unnecessary. I often appreciate the writer letting me think for myself and figure it out on my own. Though there is plenty to figure out, it is simply that not all readers need a handholding to get by. - highblast21Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0A Dark Cyber Punk Fantasy with a Touch of Magic?! Sign me up pls!!
So I was surfing around the nooks and cranies of RR, when I come across this gem. Read through the synopsis, cyber punk fantasy with magic, while rare, is not uncommon. What tingles my interest on it though is the dark theme setting, not many succeed in portraying the theme, even rarer to use it with these genres in mind. So with a so-so optimism, I read through the chapters, surprisingly got my interest up a notch, with the plot, not much to read though but it got a higher priority on my to read list, a well fleshed MC so far and I believe the other characters have their depth too, Expecting some social and psychological shit given the dark theme and so far it has delivered. Don't want to spoil cause well, there's nothing yet to spoil but its worth the read. Maybe picking the pace on the release of chaps will increase it exposure to the lurkers but I take what I get mostly. Do continue this though author-san. Thanks for the chap!!
