The Blood Core

Description
Amara has been having a rough couple of weeks. Unwittingly committing tax fraud can do that to a person. Now forced to "enjoy" house arrest until her court date, she ends up playing a Virtual Reality Dive Game that she hasn't touched in over three years. Logging in was easy enough, she just had to sit down in her Dive Chair. The complications came after that when her character seemingly broke the game. Now she is a dungeon core of all things! With no way to contact other players or the Game Masters, she has to find a way to get out of the game in time for her court date. She'd rather not go to prison for a long time.
Maxwell had decided that he had just wasted the last five months of his life on a path that would never work for him in life. Deciding to just give up on the finals, he loads up the new game he just bought for the exams. He didn't expect to end up trapped inside like all the shows he'd seen in his youth. It didn't help that his character was basically on Hardcore mode being a Dark Elf Village Leader in the middle of a human supremacy kingdom that went in every direction for hundreds of leagues. Without knowing how dying might affect him, he steels himself to grow his village into the new power in the area. Of course, that's easier said than done when a blood-thirsty dungeon appears to be on a warpath with everything in the area.

- WyvernslayerRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I didn't see much of a problem with the grammar.
For a dungeon master story the dungeon becomes more of a place where the female character gets her servants/soldiers rather than a focus of the story.
The female mc has actions that make sense most of the time and isn't a idiot.
The male mc is fine as well. Although I prefer the female mc's story rather than his. His abilities seem a bit unbalanced which leads to him being able to solve half his issues quickly but does something else instead
The side characters are pretty good. Although there is one who seems to only exist to hate the female mc to the point it is extremely annoying.
The whole world is done quite well and is about exactly what I'd expect if I were sucked into a game world
I hope it gets updated again because this is one of the only entertaining dungeon stories I've seen
I also don't get why everyone is so pissed off about it not having a tag. So what? If you enjoy it then just tell the author about it and continue reading.
The next part will be in the spoiler due to it referencing mid-late chapter events.
Now back the the male character. Nearly all of his problems could be solved if he just used his teleport skill (which is instantaneous and can bring other people with him) goblin invasion? No problem, just teleport them into the sky so they die.
Now onto the main part.
The entire war between the two main characters is entertaining and would be much more exciting if it wasn't for the revive system.
Being able to endlessly revive oneself with no drawbacks makes the fighting between the two of them pointless since it'll just end with a draw.
It's strange that the author decided to stop at such a large cliffhanger - eric_riverRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Overall, I think this does what it sets out to do
its quality is consistent, and it’s interesting too
the premise and the multiple perspectives are well done
the story makes the most of being lighthearted and fun
The style is quite accessible and easy to digest
anyone can read it, but gamers will love it best
it’s written for its audience, a dungeon-tale at heart
but it’s a sci-fi/fantasy as well in no small part
Story-wise, it’s pretty easy going for a while
after kicking off, it takes the scenic route in style
it might seem slow because it is two stories, not one
but they compliment each other, and I like each one
The premise is a unique spin on tropes that people love
this piece is more character based when push comes to shove
I do wish the story went a little bit more quick
but it’s a slowburner, so that just my own nitpick
Grammar in this work could use some polishing for sure
but it’s mostly small stuff that is easy to endure
I rate grammar based on whether it is fun to read
there’s a solid flow which little errors don’t impede
The female lead is well explored and has her strengths and flaws
I enjoy her character, she respects all tax laws
the male lead also works, although a little less awesome
but I’m biased to vampires, and he’s a fine young chum
Supporting characters are introduced at a good pace
well described from how they talk to features on their face
as of chapter sixteen, they’re they’re a big part of the plot
even when the story slows, I like the imp a lot
In the end, this is a genre not for everyone
but I think that this work will have quite a good long run
it’s a light read, suited for consumers of this style
if you like the genre, you will read this with a smile - TaxibutlerRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Overall - 4/5 -- Good/Above Average

The story itself is pretty good, and even though I knew going into it that it was on Hiatus (and unlikely to receive updates) I still enjoyed what was there. I think the only thing that was annoying, though, was the fact that every chapter is from a different perspective, even when the characters are together. This leads to a 1-2-1-2-1-2 perspective shift every chapter when I'd really just prefer two or three chapters in a row from either perspective.
There are also a good few grammatical errors, with at least a few per chapter, but nothing too broken. The characters aren't anything special, but they aren't hopeless or completely flat or anything.
I like the way the story is going, but at the same time I wish there were more dungeon aspects. It really just starts out as a dungeon vs surface town esque story, which is a bit more unique, but around 10 chapters in or later the dungeon is really just there for generating more resources and monsters rather than being a whole dungeon master type story. It's still enjoyable, but I feel like that could've been expanded on a bit more. - ShadowKnight6992Royal Road★★★ 2.5Okay first- grammer is okay can actually understand it so plus.
second- side characters, aka multiple lead characters AND USE THE DAMN TAG, we are constantly switching pov's since chapter 2 and the side characters are more interesting than the MC and this is why I hate these novels, if you can't do the one thing right why would you suddenly be able to do 3 of them right?
Third- the Mc is as bland as can be and doesn't follow the tags, first she doesn't seem villainous more of an animal trapped between a rock and you, so doesn't actively make brutal or disgusting people farms or anything villainous just lashes out every blue moon.
forth- the plot okay it's hilarious how we learn jack from the Mc and only learn anything from the other lead characters and like why don't we get rid of the MC and just use the other characters they already have more depth. Also the info we do get is the game turned into SAO because aliens and your dead....that's it....wonderful.....I'm drowning because we have so much info.
-PS use the tags, also the side characters is a male identifying as a women and just decided to dump it on the one friend just heads up
Edit-- yup the multiple leads is an integral part of this novel so multiple leads tag is highly recommended and the villainous side is slowly coming out but still more of an anti-hero type cause that quite literally what she's making herself out to be. And still the other side characters are more of the focus of this novel than the actual MC and still hasn't changed in 65 chapters so not what is shown with the tags
