The Black Knight Saga [Epic fantasy]

A fantasy world where monsters roam the land, and ancient gods are waking from their slumber.

Trapped in a village ravaged by bloodghasts, living dead that hunger for human flesh, small-town doctor and surgeon Marten of Easton is sure to die. His unexpected rescue comes in the form of the brash knight Fionnobhar the Black, who saves him from the jaws of death after hacking and slashing his way through countless undead enemies. Desperate for a change of pace, Marten agrees to accompany the knight on his quest to slay one thousand magical beasts. If Fionn succeeds, the dark priestess whom he loves has promised him her hand in marriage.

But her true reasons for sending him on this quest are much more nefarious, and have nothing to do with love. Outside the known universe, an ancient eldritch god stirs. If she wakes it with this blood sacrifice, it will descend to destroy not only their continent, but devour all existence.

The Black Knight Sagais an epic adventure with fast-paced monster-hunting action interspersed with quieter character moments. Set in a medieval-inspired fantasy world with myth, gothic horror, dark humor, dragons, shapeshifters, witchcraft, and a pantheon of Lovecraftian eldritch gods, it features a soft magic system, a slow reveal of worldbuilding, a morally grey antihero knight, and a slightly more ethical doctor MC.

No sex, stats, or numbers. Minimal romance. Profanity is occasional, and descriptions of violence are graphic.

Chapter updates are 2x a week on Tuesdays and Fridays after the initial handful are posted.
