- Zinc DogeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Initial impressions of this novel will be, admittedly, poor. You'll see the gigantic blocks the author calls paragraphs and want to nope out of there.
Believe me, I understand. My first instinct was to immediately run away, and never look back.
However, I couldn't call myself a professional garbage digger if I didn't at least try to shuffle those words around in my brain a little.
And when I began to actually absorb what the words actually said, I was delightfully surprised. I was amused, I was confused, I was entertained.
And that is how one is meant to approach the The best Novel with the best Waifu ever. You are meant to pick at this randomly little by little, like you're striking a rock with a pickaxe. For no human mind can consume its grandiosity in one go.
You will be baffled by the insane rambling. You will giggle at the time skips indicated by a 'Whoosh'. You'll find the typos adorable.
And then, mercifully, the ride will come to an end.
Unlike other pieces of art in the genre, like The Invisible Dragon, this is a finite experience. The author knows that a person can only experience a new experience once, and once it's experienced, you can't ever experience it again. And for that reason, he made this short story exactly the right size. Not too short, not too long.
KeijiDade is one of those mysterious authors who shows up, drops a bombshell, doesn't elaborate, and leaves. He's since added no new works to humanity's collective codex, but I suppose he doesn't have to. Because he knows his work here is done.
And for all of these reasons, I am forced to give this work the lowest score possible on Royal Road: Five out of five stars.
tldr: This novel will make you feel something.
