But when she had to go on a mission for the human king she couldn't help but feel ecstatic. On her trip that feeling turns to dread, there seems to be more to this mission than what she was told.

- burningGroundRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5A very strong intro. However, the flow sometimes feel janky at times.
e.g. the transition between the first scene and the next one that starts with "My first memory is when my brother and I turned five"
The action scenes need a bit more meat to depict the passage of time. It was alright during the
orc kill
scene but off during the
forest chase
scene as the length of the prose was too similar to the former one. As a result, it felt like everything went by in a flash. Maybe a longer depictation of how the scene went on can illustrate better the gravity of the situation and add more to the tension.
I'm curious about how the characters will develop and what the world building will entail, the dialogues ain't half-bad, but sometimes it has these abrupt moments where it feels off to read. It gets a bit *too* concise at time, to the point where I can say that it feels abridged and 1.5x sped up.
