Description

I finally got this idiotic thing working. I don't know why I struggle so much with mental magic. Everybody else does it so quickly.

I was supposed to do this ages ago, but I couldn't get the thought logger working till now.  Well, I should get started. Now I am supposed to get started about why I joined the guards and why I was interested in joining them.

You could sayI was forced to join them. The how of that is a long story that I will get to some other day. As for interest, I have never been interested in joining the guards.

We formation mages like to keep far away from combat. It is not something that we specialise in after all.

Ask me to make a ship fly, that is easy. Ask me to make weapons, that is easy. Hells, I can even explode things really well if it comes down to it. Still, fighting is not something that we formations mages are good at.

That is why I don't know why I am being sent to the Snowwind Empire. They are an hard people, warriors through and through. I am supposed to negotiate with them, threaten them if it comes down to it.

It also doesn't help that their enemies are going to be even worse. If they were to find out about me, I shudder to imagine what they would do to me.

All I know is, I am supposed to maintain diplomacy with the Snowwinders (I should manage this.), prevent them from becoming our enemies (Lets see where it goes.). All the while, making sure that I am not recognised.

I guess I should intro.....Damn it, why is th.. Connec...... Brea.. No..

What to expect:

1) one chapter released every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

2) A focus on world building and the main character. Cultivation will properly start from the fourth volume. (Speaking about cultivation doesn't make sense until then.)

3) A rich and complicated world that will be revealed slowly with time. (I took inspiration from novels like world of cultivation, experimental log of the crazy lich and lord of the mysteries.)

Note - My patreon is finally active. It is about a month ahead of the present publising schedule. If you like my work, consider joining my patreon. It is going to be a great support for me.

The Battle Logs of the Formation Mage offers an intriguing mix of magical fantasy and naval adventure. The protagonist, Antonio Sevenstars, narrates the story in a format akin to a journal, using a magical device that adds an interesting twist to the usual storytelling method.
    What I liked
Tone and Style: The informal, conversational tone is engaging, providing moments of levity amid the action.
Worldbuilding: The story introduces a world filled with airships and magic that hints at a deeper lore waiting to be uncovered.
Potential: As an ongoing work undergoing revisions, there's a clear potential for growth and development in both plot and character arcs.
Overall, The Battle Logs of the Formation Mage shows promise, especially for fans of magical fantasy with military and adventure themes. It strikes a lighter tone than grimdark fantasy and serves as an entertaining, less intense read with potential narrative depth. With thoughtful revisions, it has the potential to become a very engaging story. This work is recommended for those who enjoy exploration, magic, and naval combat combined with light-hearted storytelling.

    well, well, well,
Your writing would flow quite well, if you were to delete every "well,","right now," and (time skipped). Most are superfluous anyway. If you want to keep some do it for the mc only, it could be a speech tick. The first time i read a dialogue where both were starting their sentences with "well," i thought they were moking the mc. Somtimes it distracts me so much that i dont remember the rest of the sentences.
